Since you guys were incredibly helpful answering my dual monitor questions - it ended up working out and thanks to the tips/advice I was ready for the problems that came up.

Now I've got a new question - I'm in the market for a wired router and I'm considering these two http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833338009 / http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833117301 but to be totally honest I have no idea what to look for to compare them - basically, my question would be is there any specific feature that would make a router work better with Xbox live and in general or for the most part are all routers created equal?

Some of the first tier routers specifically state XBL- Compatible. Any router that support DMZ should work fine for XBL. Just set the DMZ to the IP address of the XBOX and you're good to go.

I'm pretty sure the first one support XBOXLIVE, but I'm not sure about the second one.

If you're looking for cheap ass ness, go with this one (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833127013). Its what I have. If you're looking for a starter, its decent...

I have that one and it sucks. It keeps on losing the connection to the net after a while of inactivity (like more than an hour). Ive had it for over a year and I never bothered to fix it. I looked for a firmware update a few days ago but there wasn't one so I'm going to set it up again to see if that fixes it.

so "decent" = " losing the connection to the net after a while of inactivity (like more than an hour)"

I don't have that much trouble with it. I italicized it to point out that it wasn't the best, or could you not read that...
