CAG Monster Hunter Clan...?

Anyone interested in some CAG Monster Hunter action? I originally bought the gamre when it first released, traded it in for San Andreas, and today I bought it again at Kmart for $7...

And since I'd rather play with people who are more likely not to be idiots, I thought why not look to the CAG forums for party members.

Just got this game two days ago. If anyone is still playing I'd like to do a few quests. I'm still trying to find the right weapon for my playstyle. I was thinking of lances but you can only atk w/ up or down. Kinda bummed on that.

BTW, how are the bows/arbalests? Thinking that might be my main choice....any thoughts?

Bows are okay, but I'm a staunch believer in the lance. The precision that you gain from the lance makes all the difference. Plus, since it isn't Freedom, you can headlock wyverns with the lance. Though I'd say the hammer comes in a close second, since it's way too much fun knocking wyverns down with them.

Karsh, how to do you headlock with the lance? Or did you mean for MH:F?

Headlocking basically means you catch the wyvern in a constant stun animation by hitting it in the head. It takes practice. There's a FAQ on Gamefaqs on headlocking.

I think I finally found my weapon choice. ATM its just SnS but will upgrade to DS. Lance will most likely be my secondary since GS is too slow for me.

BTW which enemy drops Med Bone and Small/Med Bone Husk? I'm in 3star quests in solo and was wondering if I'm there any time soon.

Med bones are pretty much carved from any wyvern larger than a Kut Ku.

You can get husks off the various dromes (velocidrome, gendrome and iodrome).

Hehe, Rei. I'm still a noob. I died my first time against gyp. =) I just learned from my mistake and went with it.

When I get to your lvl I'll help ya out when I can for HR 19. =P

I'm working on my kut ku armor ATM... note: I noticed there weren't gauntlets or leggins (can't remember which one exaclty) for kut ku unless I'm missing soemthing? I have a full body set of Kut Ku armor in Freedom (except head), so I was wondering if it wasnt in this version?

mkay... i guess it's legging then... I now realize freedom didn't have it in freedom... I'm mixing it up with Yian Garuga armor which looks almost the same.

I plan on Rathalos armor right after that... or at least Rathian.
