Which basketball game would you recommend?

My 360 should be here sometime this week and with the Heat in the finals and an overall exciting playoffs, I've got an itch for some basketball videogaming. Which of the two 360 NBA titles is superior? I'm looking for something fun, maybe a more arcade-like style of play with some great graphics that I can show off to my friends so they will quit saying the 360 was a waste of money. Any suggestions?

NBA 2K6 is the best looking 360 Bball game. If you want more of an arcade style game though I would go with Live. 2K is the best sim around and I think the best all around game. Graphics wise 2K player models look amazing!! THe courts and coaches and other things were all taken from the Xbox version though. Live is an average looking game. Like the other EA 360 games it is rushed and is missing a lot of features.

I have yet to play NBA 2K6 for the 360 but I know my dad (avid NBA fan and non-video game player) wanted to play NBA Live 2006 after seeing the graphics.

The game play is a little sticky though.

In case you were wondering, NBA 2K6 did get better reviews.

NBA 2k6 is the better game. If you want it to be arcadey, just adjust the in-game ratings and game speed.

I have 2K6 on the original XBOX and it's an amazing game. I can only imagine how awesome it is on the 360.

definitely 2k6...it's such a good game; might wanna wait a few weeks til the price drops like a rock though...news of 2k7 at E3 will drive the price down really quickly in the next few weeks

I ended up playing more College Hoops than 2K6 this year but that was around tourney time and online was jam packed. My favorite pro game this year was Live 06 on the Xbox. :)
