Okay. I was playing PSPChess on my PSP using the Grand Theft Auto eLoader. I wanted to go to home so I pressed the home button and I pressed yes to quit the game. It froze my PSP. I tried to turn off the PSP but it won't turn off. I also tried holding the power button up a few seconds. Is it safe to take out the battery? What do I do now?

Taking the battery out looks like your only solution.

Just wait about 4 more minutes for the battery to drain.

/kidding, kiddingYeah. I think that's what happened to my PSP. It seemed to have shut off by itself.

I don't think you should have to do anything other than hold the power button up for 10 seconds or more. I've had this happen before and my solution work. If not then do what other people have said and take the battery out.

So you're saying the psp stays on when you take the battery out? Is your psp magical?

When this happens I normally hold the power switch up until the PSP shuts off. It may take as long as holding the switch for 15-20 seconds or more.
