Gradius Collection... out tommorrow 6-7-06!

Didn't realize it was out so soon... here's the rundown:

5 Gradius games on one UMD, including:

Gradius
Gradius 2
Gradius 3
Gradius 4
Gradius Gaiden (never before released in the US)

You can either play in the original, arcade settings, or special PSP settings, changing things such as collision detection or difficulty.

Clocks in at $39.99... I think I just found out what to use some of this EB / GS credit on :D

No way it's going to get ported to PSP. If it was $20 or mayb even $30 I would be all over this game. But $40 is a little to much. The game will drop a lot sooner then later.

Guys, the game is going to be $29.99 everywhere but EB/GS. They always tack on a few bucks to the MSRP. Check BB's website - it's listed at $29.99. Slap a GGC on that, and you get 5 Gradius games for $25; $5 apiece. :D

Thanks for the heads up.. the only shitty thing is that Best Buy lists it as coming out June 14th. I'll wait a week to save $15 though if EB / GS dosen't change the price.

EB / GS did this for Megaman Powered Up as well, listed it for $40 when MSRP is $30, but they changed the price back within a day or two. I'm hoping they do that again espically since I've got some credit to burn.

Man $25 for this is a fucking steal especially considering the PSP's screen makes it ideal for this and for the second poster shut up and buy a PSP. Games like this on a WS are well I would use certain graphic terms but mayhaps I'll pass this time. After all isn't that Reality Fringe's or someone else's gag(can't remember name)?
Man just imagine if Suikoden 1 and 2 would be released at this price, people would eat the shit up.

BB's website claims it's coming out 6/14... the website is tied into the store pretty well, but no one will know for sure until someone asks them and they look it up in the computers.

Yeah my dumb ass picked it up at EB for 40 bucks. Do I think it is worth 40? nah.. but 30, yeah. All 5 games are the arcade versions, so I am getting my ass beat remembering the SNES version of Gradius 3. I do wish Life Force was on there.

This is great stuff. Harder than you remember.
Those of us who cut our teeth on the NES version of Gradius are in for a shock.
The new options (the menu, not the glowing orbs) help, but even at the default settings (easy, tuned, etc.) it's still quite a challenge. Love that music though.

I got this yesterday and I am really impressed. I never played a gradius game before but I am a fan of shmups so I thought a purchase was in order. I am enjoying the games quite well. It was well worth the $30 purchase.

Finally got one at my BB. After tossing a GGC on the counter, I walked away with it for $27.xx, so I am happy. From what I hear, this is one tough game. Time to get owned.
