View Full Version : I need an appraisal on a NEC ultralite!

i have an NEC/ultralite 286F laptop,in all most perfect condition and for being old its like new,but i cant find a reasonable price i could sell it for on ebay 1 with a broken lcd screen is at buy it now for $95 but then others that dont have battery packs etc are for but mine has everything needed and it works like new,how much you think i could get out of it?
i am haveing a yardsale this friday and i need a price i can stick on it.

ack, a 268 huh? I can remember running windows 3.1 on either a 286 or 386 and it was dog slow. Sorry to say that laptop is probably pretty useless for anything nowadays. I'd take whatever you could get & consider yourself lucky to get $50.
I mean you can buy a new cheapo pentium 4 class laptop new for $400.
Just my 2 cents. :)

yeah it is crappy but i see ppl selling broken ones for 95 bucks on ebay i was like ah ok...
but i am gonna put it in the yard sale for $20 i found out the charger and battry is worth $100 but i dont thin any one would pay that much for thos old piece of junk

rofl, a 286. You'd be lucky to get $20 for a 486 nowadays.

Donate it to Goodwill... That thing is worthless. I would consider myself lucky if I could throw it away without having to pay some kind of fee.
Depending on your tax situation, the tax writeoff could be more than you'd ever sell it for.

Yeah you could probably right it off for $100 or better estimated value.
