I just got back in the anime grove and finished Gantz and hated teh ending. I use to watch Naruto before it came over here and became ass and I watch a little Desert Punk.
I have seen Blue Gender, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun.. etc.
What is everyone watching?
Are Giglamesh and Madlax any good?

Gilgamesh seems intriguing at first...then you realize it's doing nothing but being stupid and boring. good character designs though.
try Elfen Lied, GitS: SAC or Monster (very long, but awesome murder/mystery series.)

Monster sounds cool. My little brother owns Elfen Lied and I will probably watch it with him soon.

I hope by "little" you don't mean like 8 or 9  (EL is not for kids)
enjoy!
Monster is hands down my favorite anime...I only recommend it with caution because it's 76 eps long-- but just about all of them are good and I don't think any of them are filler.

Not an anime (based on one) but still one of the best damn shows i've seen. Watched the GTO live action series. It's 12 episodes long but it's amazing!

Saikano. Everyone needs to watch that show. I'll copy and paste a post I made at another forum:
Saishu Heiki Kanojo (commonly shortened to Saikano) or She, the Ultimate Weapon
A story about a high school couple, Shuji and Chise, that have just started dating. One day when Shuji witnesses a city being bombed he sees a new weapon wipe out all the enemy planes. When he goes to investigate he sees that the new weapon is actually his girlfriend.
The show deals with their relationship as they try to keep it normal while also dealing with the escalating war going on around them. Whenever I recommend this show I always make sure to warn people that it is extremely depressing. There are very few moments of happiness. So if you don't like to be sad, stay far away from this one. I've seen a lot of sad stories, and nothing has made me cry like this show has. At the same time it still is able to convey a very powerful message about the power of love.
So if you like love stories or just plain good ones, and can handle a lot of depression, you owe it to yourself to check this series out.
Info:
TV series, 13 episodes, 4 DVDs
Manga also available. 6 volumes.

I second both full metal panic and outlaw star. Trigun is another good show.

Nah, they're the same age, Chise is just really short. She gets teased about it in the show lol.

You'll hafta watch a lot more anime as most of the women (and yes, I mean legal tender or close enough to be) appear waaay younger than they're supposed to. Some that come to mind are Rukia (a few thousand years old) from Bleach

and Mitsuki (25 years old) from Smash Hit

Oh, too easily played, Strell!! Perhaps Reality's Fringe should show up and recommend the Genji series, which works around authentic portrayals of ancient Japanese battles.

Why is Azumanga Daioh so popular? I tried watching it on the Anime Network but almost feel asleep.
No.
Thread over.Yeah, pretty much. If he had asked for enjoyable anime it would have made more sense.

I agree it is pretty awful but it makes me laugh.
