This probably only applies to me and jdawgg from a specific standpoint, however, a Play 'N Trade is opening in Snellville this summer, right next to the Men's Wearhouse and O'Charley's on Hwy. 124.

Maybe the competition with both Gamestop locations on that road will help us gamers...

Bunch of stuff at the N. Druid Hills Target. Looks like they recently did a big dump onto the endcaps. There is actually one Lair left (marked and scans at $30 /sigh). There is also one PGR4 marked as $30 but scans for $0.00. I didn't feel like dickering at checkout, but if someone has more time and inclination, go forth!
There's also a mess of other stuff out there on the near endcap. Mostly for last gen, but there are still some NBA 07, 08 and NCAA 07, 08 basketball games. Mostly for PS3, but some for 360 as well.
Lots of Monster Madnesses for 360.
And one NWN2.

There are a bunch of GBA and PC games down at a further endcap, if you're so inclined.

Yes. There is a old game store in Athens, Ga, across the street from the Georgia Square Mall in the ugly pink shopping center. They have CRAPTONS of old systems and games, but they are kinda pricey.

I cleaned out the Edgewood Target today. Struck it rich. Several copies each of Jeanne D'arc, Final Fantasy I, II, and Castlevania: Dracula X, rang up at the 7.48 price point! I picked them all up so I've got a lot of trade fodder. There was one copy of FFXII Revenant Wings for 19.99, and NBA 08 for PS3 for 14.98 but I passed on both.

I think the edgewood target is tired of ppl stashing clearance games to come back for them once the prices drop again. All of the clearance games are now LOCKED in a glass case at the end of one of the clearance aisles.

Snellville Target dropped Orange Box to 14.98. There were three there as well as a NCAA 08 for 9.98 and NBA 08 for 14.98 and THPG. Some OBs are hanging behind CDs on that endcap and are hard to see. They had a handful of DVDs As Ised for 4.96 including Roll Bounce and Jarhead on HD DVD. Would have gotten that one if I had found a 19.99 or less HD DVD addon at KMart or FYE. Anyone seen one recently at one of those stores?

Checked the Snellville Best Buy and the Sidney Marcus one for the 360 GH2 Bundle, but neither store even had it, let alone had a deal on it. He tried pimping the 50% off Halo 3 accessories and he said that they were marked down that low because they were getting sent back soon. I told him that I had seen the controller for 15 (30 at that BB) at KMart AND Target and that everyone was clearing them out and he actually said that they "may have to make these cheaper" because I wasn't the first person to point out that other stores were dropping the prices more. If anyone sees that GH2 bundle on sale, LMK please as I've always wanted to see what the big deal is, but not for 80 bones or more.

Sydney Marcus Target is now devoid of Motorstorms. I found what I think is the last one in the automotive section's clearance endcap. They still have Fight Night and Simpsons, THPG and NCAA 08 BB.

Target is clearancing DMC 3 SE and will drop to $5 eventually, I can't remember if they still have 1 & 2 and are clearancing those or not. You can try TRU as I think they dropped them both to $5 a couple months ago and they may have hung around.

Also, I checked the BB locator with a few different zips for the GH2 bundle and so far haven't found any in the metro area. :bomb:

My wife and I gave away our DDR title a few weeks ago so it has no value to us anymore and is in great condition.
I'm not interested in shipping the thing all over the place but we can easily meet up anywhere in the ATL metro.

I'm hoping to let this go on the cheap to a local gamer or family of gamers that will put it to some use, no interest in making money.
I don't have a trade or want list or anything, but I'll respond to any reasonable offers including GBA, DS, PS2, 360, ATL food coupons, anything at all.

Pretty good rack of stuff at the Northpoint Target tonight. $50 Platinum GCs, PS2 Boogie for $7.48 (finally got one for the extra mic), PC R6V for $5, several PS3 sports titles-- I picked up one March Madness 08.

I found one copy of Contra 4 at 7.48, and grabbed it, even though I own the game. At the register, it rang up at 40, she examined it, and said the sticker was on the wrong item, but gave me the cheap price, anyway. Oh well! Thanks, Target!

They also had one Wii in the case. A guy was buying it as I left. No extra remotes or copies of Wii Fit in stock for him, though.

No Wii Fit at Target or Best Buy, of course, though BB said they'd be getting in about 20 more tomorrow.

wow..i tried to buy some soap once that was in the clearance aisle with an orange sticker and when it rang up wrong the woman absolutely would not budge on giving me the clearance price, and that was only a few dollars difference. guess that kinda thing is ymmv depending on the check out person. lucky you!

No real damage on my property from the tornadoes. 3 trees down but they didn't hit anything. I just have to cut 'em and clear 'em. That's just fine with me compared to what others have to deal with. One neighbor up the street had a tree lifted straight up and promptly deposited on top of his car. Thankfully I don't think anyone in my sub-d had any major house damage. Considering that a tornado essentially passed directly over sub-d everything is just fine.

I would say that it isn't a bad deal but it isn't great either. (In fact if somebody knows a cheap way to get these I'd like to know!)
When buying online MS points are only sold in specific amounts with no incentive to buy in bulk.:cry:

The MS points amounts sold online are 500, 2000, and 5000 for $5, $25 and $50. At $14.99 it is something like 1 point per .937 of a cent.
If my math is right (it very well might not be) buying from MS directly works out to 1 point per 1.25 cents so it's a bit better.

So really it isn't a fantastic deal as you still have to pay tax but it is still slightly cheaper then buying straight from MS.
In my case, I wanted a few new songs for RockBand and 1600 points were enough and cheaper then the alternative.

As for what kind of stuff you can buy with 'em check out the marketplace blade on your 360 dashboard for your options.
You'll find XBLA games, TV shows, movies, and downloadable content for games like RockBand GH III. There's a ton of stuff, happy hunting!

Eesh. I finally got around to opening Phantom Hourglass yesterday evening, and there was no game in the box. I've heard about that happening, but first time I've ever experienced it. Ran back there before they closed and thankfully the guy working customer service was very helpful and got me a new one. I was worried I'd be out of luck since they only had the one copy in the morning, but they had 5 or 6 copies sitting out when I got there.

Its really ridiculous - I had to wait about 15 minutes for a guy to become available so he could unlock the case for me so I could look through the stuff and decide there was nothing for me. How is that a good idea? I guess it keeps it clean back there, but at the expense of usefulness...

My favorite Best Buy (@ Sydney Marcus) had no console game guides Monday. They were all boxed up and gone, the whole end-cap was gone and replaced with a second PS3 demo/display kiosk. (For those that have never been this is a large square footage store w/ a MAGNOLIA H.T. sub-store in a high income market).

I was told by the manager that only PC guides were going to be stocked from now on.
Has anyone else seen this happen? Where else do you guys find pennied guides?

Funny, the people I know from there say it with an Appalachian twang and not the drawl: All-Bay-nee (It makes me cringe, these people went to the private school down there too). -Probably closer to neocisco's version.

ALL-buh-nee is how I've always pronounced it and heard it. The All-BEN-ee pronunciation threw me off. I grew up in IL and DeKalb was pronounced Deh-KALB.

About 3-4 copies of Tomb Raider for Wii at the Sandy Springs Target tonight for $15!

As for the other CAG who was asking about that store, they have a decent endcap full of stuff. Lots of crap DS and GBA games, Mario Kart GBA, which isn't total crap, a huge stack of Viva Pinata 360, quite a few Wii games (TR, Dancing wtStars, Bleach, Pool Party, DK Barrel Blast, others), some 360 three-packs of movie tie-in games, ONE copy of Timeshift 360 for ~$27 (for whoever was looking for that), and some decent PS2 games, including about a half-dozen copies of Guitar Hero 1 (disc only) for $20. Oh, and 2 or 3 copies of the Bleach DS game for $21, and a couple copies of PICROSS for $10!

Heavenly Blade (or Sword?) for PS3 and Am. Idol for 360 on clearance in the glass case.

Also, they have Cherry Pop-Tarts on clearance for some reason, so, you know, pick some up if you need them.

Hit the Snellville Target yesterday after my daughters allstar game over there :) Picked up the last :360: Popcap Arcade ($4.xx) for the wife :360: Harry Potter/Order of Phoenix ($14.xx) for the daughter, and :ps2: ATV 4 ($14.xx) for the son all for a total of $9 and change. Cheap way to make the family happy :D Used two $10 off coupons and the $5 of $25 :bouncy:

Dude, thanks sooooooooooooooo much for posting on the controller. I never pay attention to Brandsmart. Took the ad to Best Buy and they PM'd without any hassle. I figured they would call to check to make sure it's the same sku, since the ad doesn't say it's the Microsoft branded one, or they would call to verify stock, etc. I showed them the ad, they immediately did the override and I was out of there in 2 minutes.

It's a good thing too, because I live 2 miles from Best Buy and about 15 miles from Brandsmart.

Argh.With CC you'll have to buy it there first and then bring in a flyer afterwards to get the extra 10% off so you won't know if you get it until after you've already bought. You could not open it and then threaten to return if they don't match. I've had less hassle with PMing when it's a adjust though. They rarely call. Sears does 10% at time of purchase ir they carry that model. And you can probably get a Sears card for extra discount and/or 0% fo r6 months.

speaking of price matching. I bought GOWII:ps2: at BestBuy a while back when it first dropped. I did in store pick up and when I got there they had to look in the back to find it instead of it being right there so the lady there gave me $10 off ($20). I didn't know what to do because I was planning on coming back the next day to get my 110% price match to Circuit City. Any other time $10 off would have been awesome then it just killed my 10%. As when I went back there was no difference in price anymore. Oh well what are you going to do am i right?

I'm thinkin' about picking up the remote too, since the controller will just annoy me when I'm trying to play movies.The lowest I've seen Uncharted may have been 40 as an Amazon Gold Box deal two weeks ago. It's still 60 everywhere so I guess just watch the flyers for a sale @ Target, CC or BB I guess. I'm looking for a deal on it, too. The demo is pretty slick and it's one of the reasons I picked up a PS3.

As for the remote, I got the Bluwave from Gamestop for 20. It's 10 during the Game Days sale. It's OK, but the main reason I got it is because it's an IR remote so a receiver plugs into a USB port and now I can use my Harmony with my PS3. The very important to note downside is that neither the Bluwave nor the harmony have a power option because the USB ports are inactive when the PS3 is off so a USB device cannot turn it on. There may be a way to program a power off with my harmony, but mine freaked out during a software update and I have to call Logitech to fix it so I haven't used it with the PS3 yet. The power thing stinks, but if you think about it you have to put a disc in the PS3 anyway so that will power it on anyway.

I snagged the last copy of Spyro: Eternal Night (GBA) at Buckhead Target tonight for $10. I'd been curious about it after some of the fan sites loved it last year, and it's definitely worth the purchase. Excellent platformer so far. Maybe the last great GBA title. They had a bunch of copies of DS Monkey Ball ($15, I think?) and some other, crappier titles (some of which I'd never even heard of). Oh, more copies of Bleach DS for 15. They had that Star Wars game with the Jedi chick on the cover for 7.50, and a couple copies of Guitar Hero II for maybe $25.

At the CC across the street, there's one copy of Wade Hixton's Counter Punch for GBA left, if anyone needs that $1.96 gem. I haven't opened my copy yet, but I hear it's pretty great. I bought another one tonight for a friend. Not much else of note in the CC clearance bins. Kinda wanted to get the copy of Ace Combat Zero that was $17, but I already have one unopened AC game, so I left it.

- They had a bin of DS games next to the counter that appeared to be clearanced (even though most were still labeled full price). 95% crap, but there were a bunch of copies of Contact and Magical Starsign in there.

- Saw a new copy of FFV for the GBA on the shelf marked pretty low...I can't remember if it was $7 or $12.

- Used section relocated and pretty significantly compressed since the last coupon sale. Used Wii and DS selection very poor. Okay selection of 360 stuff. Didn't look at the rest.

There were a couple copies of Lumines PS2 for $5 in the bins, and one copy of Zelda: LttP on the shelf, which I think is the one on clearance, right? Didn't see any Chocobo Tales, and I did look. Didn't notice a FF3. Some pretty good PSP games from the list in the bins, too. Sorry, wasn't paying any attention to PS3 games to see if there was Oblivion.

Also, there are some off-brand GC memory cards for about $2.50, if anyone wants to risk it. Lots of other accessories on clearance, but that was the only one that caught my eye as useful.

There's a lot to dig through in the Buckhead store, but they're pretty good about putting clearance stuff in one place, at least. I know its not in the area you specified, but the only places I have seen that consistently had copies was both Fry's locations. They are on an end cap instead of on the aisle, and I think people just miss them. I would definitely call first if he wants it bad enough to drive up here half way to Tennessee though.
