Just curious, has anyone seen Ridge Racer 7 for PS3 around in the Roswell/Marietta/Alpharetta area?

FYI, the Northpoint BB had tons of Falcon Elites when I went in today. They all had the 175w on the sticker.

No Wiis though :(

The Circuit City off Cobb Parkway has the worst organization ever in its games section. I went in to buy Dead Rising and was told that they don't sell the game in stores.

-_-

After about 10 minutes of searching, I found three copies. Bought won, the others are in the middle isle of 360 games.

Do you know if these prices are chainwide or just for that store?
I'm guessing it's YMMV. Those two games, along with a few others, had the price actually marked out on the yellow tag in pen, with a new price written in above it. When they scanned them at the register, they showed up as full price, and the cashier had to call a supervisor over to override the price.

If anyone wants Tamagotchi Party On!, Bionicle Heroes, or some Board Games collection, they are $10 too. Spider-Man 3 was 20, and a few other Wii games were marked down $10 below whatever they used to be. These are in a low bin behind the gaming demo recliners/TVs. I think there might have been a few bargains on other platforms there, but nothing I had to grab.

Don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but if anyone wants to try for game cheap cheap games, the FYE in Arbor Place Mall is having a clearance on almost all games. Lots of crap, but there's some gold nuggets hidden in there. I was able to pick up Star Fox Command (DS) as a Christmas present for a friend for only 10 bucks. Also saw a lot of PS2/Xbox titles for $5. I'll probably consider going by there again once I go home for Christmas break to check out all the bins.

I have a Zelda DS bundle and a Nintendogs DS bundle at my store. If anybody wants this and will be in the Kennesaw area let me know and I'll hold it for you. They're not on the floor right now so they should hopefully be around for a little while.

Any luck with CCity clearance games today around town? I'm gonna check Northpoint in a while. Chris/Gator found a few at the Gwinnett store (1 Metal Slug and at least one Trauma Center).

Never happened. Shortly after moving here, one of the many job apps I put out was to the GC "coming soon" at that Hollywood Video. It was supposed to be open in February that year and even as late as April nobody I asked at the HV knew what the deal was and if it was still coming or not... Glad I didn't hold out for that dream job!
Yeah... I was friends with who was to be the RM for the GCs in this area, as well as knowing the RM for Hollywood around here. Both of 'em were 'let go' for different reasons and the GC plans fell apart. The plans falling apart were not tied into the firings, for what it's worth.

Some choice gossip. Affairs, indiscretions with subordinates. My friends are AWESOME.

Don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but if anyone wants to try for game cheap cheap games, the FYE in Arbor Place Mall is having a clearance on almost all games. I thought I mentioned it. And the clearance is not on all games, it's on a large group of games which were sent in from other stores, they're currently displayed on two tables towards the front of the store.

I know someone around here was looking for a Robotech game not too long ago... they had Robotech Battlecry for the ps2 new on clearance (didn't notice the price, because I wasn't certain which game and which system).

Is $50 at Gamestop the best I'm going to do for a used Game Boy Advance SP?

My mother-in-law is buying a lot of toys for charity so I bought one for one of "her children". She's got two more kids on her list who want Gameboys and wants me to go back and she'll pay for these.

Or would a kid be just as happy with just the Game Boy Advance? Personally I skipped from Game Boy Color all the way to DS Lite, I don't know how much better the SP is.

The deadline to buy them is Wednesday which rules out buying them over the internet.

I'd go SP if you can swing it. Better screen with backlight, much cooler, more compact design. You'll save the kid's eyes (and allow him to play under the covers).

Saw a bunch of NBA Street Homecourts and Def Jam Icons at the CC in Kennesaw on Barrett Pkwy. Also saw one Okami there, marked incorrectly as usual so go grab it if you want it.

No, we haven't had one in a while. Our inventory is FUBAR'd on so many different iems. When they do inventory at the end of the fiscal year it's going to be a disaster.

Well, my time as an ATL CAG has come to a close. I finally finished my work at GaTech, and I'll be moving on to try my hand at being a real-life grown up with a real job.

I celebrated my impending graduation with a massive CAG shopping spree last week. I went up to Pleasant Hill and hit up Frys, CC, BB, and Super WalMart for all their cheap ass deals. I picked up 12 different games (some of them are for Gray) for ~$110... it was a heck of a way to go out.

Thanks to all of you for making the ATL CAG community so great! Special props to El Gray for teaming up with me on numerous occasions to hit up midtown ATL for all it was ever worth.

Also, if anyone is planning on getting Sears to PM the CC ad for Monster Madness (360), don't go to the Northpoint Sears. They gave me an extremely hard time and I wouldn't have got it were it not for another manager that saved me.

That's awesome.

But don't forget these organizations need donations to keep them going so that these kids can live to play these games. Right now, every single bed in Georgia is filled with kids. You can donate directly to your local hospital through CMN so that they can hire more nurses and expand their units so that more kids can be helped.

Right now there is a trend to downsize and consolidate children's units because the money isn't there. That's why my sig says what it does.

Last year someone got there early and cleared out the 29.99 360 wireless controllers and again when they had the same controllers for 19.99. I know this will be a YMMV kind of thing, but I just wanted to give you hope. I did a PM on Wednesday at the Snellville BB for NFS:PS for the 360 that was on sale at Target. The girl called Target and was on hold for several minutes, while the girl right next to her had a couple come in price matching the same ad. The second girl told my cashier to just not worry about it and hang up and give me the lower price.

Hopefully, they'll not worry about calling for you too, since they won't PM it if it's OOS.

Good luck!

By the way, your guilty conscience is off the hook on Yakuza. Checked out Cumberland CC on my break and got the last one. Also saw one Quake 4 and two Condemneds. Haven't seen either of those for a long time at the CCs in my area. They had 3 Superman Returns (clearanced, right?), NBA2k6, and most old EA sports games. If you ask about a particular game it may jog my memory and I'll let you know as I had to search the whole disorganized mess. Still no Okami, NHL2k7, or College Hoops 2k7. Yeah, I just need to sit and run more than two races in a row and I'll get a better feel for it.

Maybe I'll get lucky next time I go by Mall o' GA.

Now I feel better! Quake 4 and Condemned are very, very fun games and are highly underrated. Hopefully, you picked them up!

Target on Cobb Parkway (Marietta) has about a dozen copys of Tony Hawk Proving Ground Limited Edition at the $14.75 clearance price.

NOTE: These are not on the video game clearance section, sale section, or game section end-cap.

They are mysteriously crowded on the backside of the end-cap where PC games are- facing the HD-DVD and Bluray section. (This is where the clearance PC games usually go.)
If anyone is interested.

Thanks fo the PM about the ps3 . . . LOL

In all fairness, USC was ranked below UGA in the 14th week.

dagnabit. I really want to get another copy of Metoes. Of the five games I lost when I left my first DS on Marta (Brain Age, Worms, Phoenix 1, Meteos, and Hunters) Meteos was the one with which I had the most fun. It's one of the best, and most addicting puzzle games I've ever played

Looks like the middle of Buckhead, senorita. Just go down 400, exit at Lenox, take a right, then left on Piedmont and a left on Peachtree (assuming Google Maps is correct). I'm sure if you call them, they can give you a landmark to watch for. You'll be fine. Visit Oxford Comics while you're down there, if you've never been!

It is supposedly on par with the first MechAssault 360 game. I watched a kid play it and he seemed to be really enjoying it.

Reviews are in the 7-8 range, but say it rocks as a DS multiplayer but the game dosen't support the WiFi sharing so everyone must have a cart for it.

I am a sucker for this series and type of game: Mech Warrior, Mech Assault, Battletech and even chrome hounds- so apparently I must play this game.

The Solomon Brothers? or the Brothers Solomon (http://www.fandango.com/thebrotherssolomon_98254/movieoverview). TBS looked like a pretty lame movie.

The Buckhead Backlot (http://www.fandango.com/amcbuckheadbacklot6_aadcd/theaterpage). If I recall that one it's behind Phipps. Never been there but I see these signs for a theater around Phipps that look a bit off location wise that I've always assumed was Backlot.

I was on the last case of Phoenix when I lost it and had collected everything in Meteos.

That's in the big green neon building on Piedmont, just past where it crosses Peachtree heading North. Across from the old disco Kroger! You can't miss it.

So I went to the Edgewood Target at lunch today. They had several copies of Stuntman: Ignition for the 360 for 12.98. There was also a copy of The Bigs for the PS3 at that price.

Based on this thread (http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140650&page=130&highlight=ghost+squad) I went to check out Ghost Squad for the Wii. Indeed, it is not in their system, but they had about 10 copies on an endcap facing the main part of the store (not in back with the castoff stuff). I handed it to the cashier and he scanned it and asked me where I got it -- in an accusatory tone! I told him I didn't bring it in off the street and then try to get him to sell it to me! Anyhow, he stated he couldn't sell it to me because it wasn't in the system.

Maybe some of you guys will have better luck. If you get a good deal, pick one up for me!

The shopping center at Edgewood is relatively new...about a year or two? It's a good surgical strike place for game deals with a Best Buy, Target, GameStop all in range of each other, plus it has some decent food choices (esp. 5 Guys). There's also a Kroger, a Home Depot, and some lame department store type place.

Jam424
01-16-2008, 02:38 PM

Yeah, I don't know what I'd do without the Edgewood complex. I'd certainly be driving a lot farther for Target, Lowe's, Best Buy, Petco, and GameStop. It's so funny to me that Wolfkin knows Edgewood but not L5P....I guess some of us navigate by retail. ;)

Went by Rowan's today, one of my favorite thrift shops of old, up in Marietta. Sadly, they are in the midst of closing down. They're already to 50% off everything, so the stock is pretty picked over, as you might imagine. But if you're in the market for a copy of "An Orchestral Tribute to the Music of Ashlee Simpson," you're in luck. No current gen games, a few Xbox and PS2 titles left.

Incidentally, thanks to a deal brokered by our own El Gray, I will soon be joining the ranks of the 360 crowd, with an Elite, no less. Heady times for this dyed-in-the-wool Nintendo fanboy. Any advice from our local Xbox vets?

If someone finds any Ghost Squad on clearance in metro ATL please post it.

There were 4 copies of Stuntman http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/disturbed/icons/cagposticons/iconxbox360.gif @ $14 I snagged one and there were two copies of NBA Street http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/disturbed/icons/cagposticons/iconps3.gif at $ twenty something. There were lots of DS and GBA titles mostly petZ related and Strawberry Shortcake for PS2. There was also a Def Jam ICON in the clearance bin I scanned it and it rang up for $39 (which is strange since I picked it up on Target clearance for under $10). They had 1 Cooking Mama: cook off http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/disturbed/icons/cagposticons/iconwii.gif left @ $19.

So I took a little trip today to the South Lake Mall in Morrow. The Sears there has Persona 3 for $50 in the glass case and some other games. The FYE in the mall also has 30% off all of their games which makes them close to retail, but you can probably find a good deal in there somewhere.

Is this the same as the Game of the Year Edition? If so, I might be looking for it too.

Didn't see any at the Morrow TRU.

I was at the Holcomb Bridge Target this morning. They had 2 (more) copies of All Pro Football for the PS3 for 7.48. They also had a copy of Ghost Squad for the Wii. It was sitting in the 29.99 end-cap rack. I didn't feel like dealing with any "not-in-the-system" nonsense, so I didn't investigate, but if someone has the stomach for it, feel free!

I found one at the new Johnson Ferry store (near the big starsucks) but it wasn no longer clearance and was detagged- and "not in the system" they offered it to me at full price, so it was a no go there.

Still looking though, was the one in Holcomb Bridge rd. still clearance tagged? If not it's not in the inv. system and you play pot-luck with the price.

I really want that game on the cheap, I love the zapper.

Your welcome to do the BestBuy employee move and hide one then PM me, lol.

I just got back from the Edgewood Target, they had ONE copy on the clearance aisle and it was untagged and not in the system. The guy shrugged and gave it to me for 9.99. You want? PM me!

I was a little out of my normal stomping grounds today for unrelated reasons and checked out the Mableton Gamestop on Veterans Memorial Hwy (next to Publix) for the first time. They had one used 360 120GB HD for $129. Not sure if anybody needs one but it is $50 off the new price and if you're upgrading from a 20GB or got an Arcade console for X-mas, it might be perfect.

EDIT: After posting this I thought I'd try to download the XBLA freebie Undertow. I switched on my 360 to find the dreaded RROD! Anyone here have any experience with this? Any advice on dealing with Microsoft would be appreciated.

You can call them or use the online service request through Xbox.com. Either way, it's pretty painless. The acknowledge the issue very readily and they'll send you a box (I like to call it the coffin) with prepaid postage to send your Xbox in and they ship it back to you when it's fixed. May take about 10 - 14 days from when you request the box til you get it back. The worst part is that someone has to sign for it, so if you can have them deliver it to your work or make some stay at home, that works best. Don't worry about it though...I'm on my frickin 4th one (3 RROD) so I know it about as well as anyone. If 360 just didn't have so many awesome games and PS3 didn't have so few games I want, I'd abandon it. But I have to follow the games.

P.S. - You'll also get a 1 month Xbox Live Gold renewal card to make up for the time you missed.

Thanks Felder, I called 'em last night and as you said it was fairly painless. I didn't think of the "signing for it" aspect though, I may have to adjust my schedule. Thanks for the heads up. I agree with you on following the games in lieu of the PS3's selection. When you got your replacements, were they the same consoles you sent out, brand new, or old refurbs? As long as I get one with the same features back, I guess it's no big deal as to which. Now that you've set my mind at ease, I guess I'll polish off a few last-gen titles i've been saving for a rainy day.

I was at the Edgewood Target yesterday and they had a ton of Tony Hawk Proving Ground LE's (360) for 14.98. I'd say there were more than a dozen. Also Stuntman for PS3 for 14.98.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned, I hadn't seen it.

when our 360 died we got atleast what i assume is a new one back. the manufacture date on the sticker with the serial number was only a couple weeks prior to our receiving it.

My wife's grandfather passed away last week. He was a really sweet man and will be missed. The service was beautiful and people came out of the woodwork at the viewing and funeral to say how much he had meant to them over the years (guess that's what happens when you live 83 years and never travel more than 30 miles from your home).

Anyway, all of the family business meant several trips to Carrollton. Had opportunity to stop in Douglasville a couple times and scout around. Since I just got a 360, I've been on the lookout for 360 and original Xbox titles. Healthy clearance bins at the CC, which yielded Battle for Middle Earth II hand marked down to $16.57 (there were 4 or 5 more that I saw). One bin full of 360, Xbox, and PS2 (maybe a couple PS3), then another filled with PSP, DS, and GBA stuff, though I'd be hard pressed to tell you exactly what.

TRU - nothing
Kaybee - a few GBA titles
GS/EB in mall - lots of used games, all crap
FYE - ton of used games, including some good stuff (got a complete Knights of the Old Republic for $9.99)

Thanks for the well wishes.

I actually haven't had a chance to play it yet, but everything I've read says it works pretty decently -- supposedly one of the better RTS efforts on a console. I'm a Lord of the Rings fan first and a RTS fan a distant second, so I'll probably be more forgiving than most, since I don't play RTS's very much. There's a demonstration video on Live that gives a pretty good overview of how you select units and such.

I'll let you know how it is once I take it for a spin.

Best Buy off Sidney Marcus has some new 50% off games. I picked up GBA Gunstar Super Heroes and PS2 Enthusia for 5 each. Also saw PS3 Homecourt and DJ Icon for 15 and some 360 games like Far Cry for 20. Pelican DS Screen Protector/Stylus pack for 4.xx. Also, the BB in Snellville has a 50% rack including games from most systems. Nothing too amazing, but I got Splinter Cell CT and Resident Evil for DS. Most notable was that ALL GBA and Gamecube games were 50% until gone. No more sections for those in the game area as they were all on the sale cart. Got Geist for 7.50. Apparently, it had gotten picked over pretty well as they said the cart had been pretty full and it was maybe 1/5 full when I saw it. I saw this the day the CAG servers crashed so they are probably more picked over.

Some of the stuff has been there for months like WWE 2007 and DOAX2 is still 50% since it's just marked with a red dot sticker and sitting in the regular racks.

If anyone sees a 60GB PS3 at a Blockbuster/Gamerush in the area please give me a heads up as I think I may try and snag one with the credit I've built up now that I've gone HD. Thanks in advance.

Turns out there are some games I wouldn't pay $3 for (Dynasty Warriors :gba:) You don't see game like Gunstar anymore. It's a pure fun game. LOADs of variety. Aside from the normal LTR shooting there's an asteroids like stage, a top down verticle shooter stage, a stage like a board game. My only disappointment with the game is that I was scanning a FAQ and spoiled the shape-shifter boss. He would have been much harder if I didn't have his secret. Speaking of bosses they're fun.

In terms of GS I frequent, I always visit the one on Barrett next to B&N, despite living off of Cumberland Blvd. I know the manager there and everyone else is really nice. They usually have what I need. The CD Warehouse a couple store down from that GS is also cool. I have found some really good game and Blur-Ray deals there.

Chris, right? He's very helpful. I was looking for GC component cables at one time and he checked inventory at 2 other stores for me, called to make sure they had them or not, then offered to have them shipped to his store so I didn't have to drive all the way across town. Unfortunately, someone at the other store had listed composite cables as components but Chris still went above and beyond for me.

The BB in Snellville on 124 also has this for half off from the 39.99 marked price, but they are on a seperate display with a big 50% off sign so they may go quicker.

No, I never did. I decided to just hold off playing any progressive scan GC games until I get a Wii later this year. ebay is probably the only decent chance to get any at this point. You'll probably pay a minimum of $40. That's why I'm waiting.:)

My Xbox is playing in 720p now. I tried X-Men Legends II and it worked fine. I was trying Mortal Kombat: Armageddon when I was having the problem. It seems weird that one game would play while another wouldn't. HD gaming w/o buying a new-gen system is so nice.

The first one was on the SNES I think. Knowing a boss is a shapeshifter isn't spoiling it for me is it? I would never do such a thing. No there's a problem with his pattern and it leaves a way to beat him perfectly every time. I read it in a FAQ I was scanning and I couldn't help using it. A similar thing happened to Exile III back in the day. Knowing which one of the races was going to betray me kinda took the surprise out of it at the end. If I recall correctly I thought i read the original was Sega.

My ATL folks over at Circuit City I have seen :gc:1080. I really want this game, but its' still ringing up at $39.99. I could have sworn it should be dropped to $19.99. It's in the clearance bin. It's really annoying.

The GCN component cables (have you confirmed your GCN can use them? Some can't) are notoriously hard to find, though that may have changed since the release of the Wii. If you have any inclination to get a Wii, you'd be better off getting that and the component cables for that system and playing your GCN games there than throwing down $40+ for a GCN set.

If you have a later GCN, chances are it doesn't have the ability to do component out. Nintendo dropped support for this feature halfway through the system's lifespan, largely due to poor support from developers and an assumption that most consumers didn't care. Actually, quite a lot of games support 480p. A few (mostly 3rd party) support 16:9. And a very rare few (single digits) support both. There's a more or less complete list here:

http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=649817

But I agree with neocisco...Wait for a Wii to play your GCN games in 480p and/or 16:9.

People have been reporting both WalMart and Best Buy selling it early. Haven't seen it there yet, but I found two copies yesterday evening at the Kennesaw Circuit City.

Since all DS games are on sale Professor can be had at CC for $24 through Saturday. There is at least 1 at my store.

I'd call it, but I think Guin has dibs. =(

Incidentally, I'm a huge and vociferous Friday Night Lights fan (though this season hasn't been quite as good as the first).

They were going to get trashed at work so I snapped them up. You might be able to find a stray set in a GS somewhere. I checked ebay and there seem to be some good prices on some of the auctions. . .

If it has a digital A/V output on the back it will take component cables. If you plan on getting a Wii this year I would just wait instead of spending the $ (which is exactly what I'm doing).I guess I'll have to start hitting GS. Those prices on ebay aren't shabby at all as long as those 3rd party manufacturers are reliable. That was going above and beyond. Thanks! BTW, I checked my GC and it does have digital A/V. I did get it when KMart liquidated stores here in what, 2004? So it probably was a really early model that sat in the back forever! I doubt I'll get a Wii even though I'd like one since I'm more likely to get a PS3 especially with BluRay capability and PS2s are more likely to die than GCs. Of course, that's if I find a 60GB or they start making them hardware BC again.

Thanks for the list, HDTVArcade had Starcraft:Ghost listed so I had doubts on its accuracy.

Two other things:

First, I am a major Friday Night Lights fan and I didn't know it was in trouble again. Although the story lines have gotten a little over the top this year, it's still a great show and I hope it sticks around. NBC doesn't have anything half as good to fill that slot anyway. What, more Deal or No Deal or Dateline? Great. . .

Also, last night I went to the Targets on Druid Hills and Sidney Marcus and one of them had four of the Blue and Black DS Lites in the case. Aren't they breaking street date there? Sorry, I forgot which one had them, but at least they're close to eachother if you go to the wrong one first

No problem, jdawgg. Others CAG's have done the same for me before. Do unto others and all that.

The FNL season 2 DVD set has already been listed for an April release so, even though NBC hasn't officially announced no new episodes once the strike is over, this pretty much confirms it. A cancellation hasn't been announced but the new chairman, Ben Silverman, is said to not be real big on the show. Imagine that, a Jewish guy from Massachusetts not being a fan of a show based on Texas culture. Who'da thunk it? BTW, before anybody gets upset, that wasn't an anti-Semitic comment, just pointing out the differences.

Not so fast. Was just checking out IGN and there may be hope. Basically, NBC Universal may be toying with the idea of shopping FNL to other networks if NBC stops carrying it. Of course, it's rumors, but hey.

http://tv.ign.com/articles/850/850740p1.html

Silverman actually says he loves the show in the quote, but that could be posturing for a "I love it, but the viewers don't support it" line when he cancels it.

I've been looking for another for at least 3 years. They're $7 on clearance and they had at least 20 left. I had to pick it up. My wavebird battery is dying.

I have a hard time believing NBC would sell one of the shows they own to another network but if they don't renew it I'd love to be wrong. BTW, Smash finally started to grow up tonight. It's criminal how underappreciated this show is.

It's criminal how underappreciated this show is.Yeah, but while they're under the same umbrella NBC and NBC Universal are still seperate entities and NBCU may feel their critically acclaimed product can be better supported by another network (and they'd be soooo right. I don't know if there's a precedent of that nature, but there's several shows produced under one network that air on another like Scrubs is produced by ABC and airs on NBC (when NBC was going to cancel it, the show was told it's final season would air on ABC if NBC dropped it), Burn Notice is a CBS show and airs on Universal owned USA (it would start airing on NBC like Monk and Psych will be to fill time due to the strike if not for that fact unless they work out a deal) so it's not too unbelieveable that one could move nets. I don't know who produced JAG, but that jump worked as did Baywatch going to syndication. Also, the threat that it may go to a rival could cause NBC to reconsider.

jdawgg, I was in the Blockbuster on Five Forks and Oak Rd earlier renting "The Assasination of Jesse James" and saw that they had some good deals on older original XBOX titles. Nothing that I didn't already have, but titles I would buy if not. Can't remember any names now for the life of me.

Depending on traffic I can hit that Blockbuster with a super bouncy ball on a bounce from my house! I've eyed a few games there, but I'm trying to save my credit for a Wii or 60GB PS3. I did get Metroid Hunters and Contra 4 and a PS2 Baldur's Gate 2 all in absolute mint condition all from there. There are a couple of interesting games that I missed out on that I may pick up, too. They have a TON of Bioshocks. I thought about using credit on one of those until thoughts of Wii or PS3 and the FYE deal came along. I may still do so, but there's no rush as they have a ton (probably 90% from rental stock that never got rented as they had a TON for rent there, too) and I'm too busy playing CoD4 and ignoring my backlog of games to catch up on.

And about FYE, I went there looking for Bioshock the day the deal was reported and yeah, it's pathetic there. I didn't have time to browse, but they do have two small 50% off bins which were mostly junk. I always wanted to play the contra clone Blowout which was marked $5. I may go back and see if it's really 2.50! Hope I didn't tip off a lurker on that gem!;)

Most of them disappeared when they were $7 and the extra 30% off sale was going on. There were a ton at the Kmart on Cleveland Ave, but during that sale some guy came in and bought everything. All clearance games gone. Well, almost everything. The clerk let me look through the rows behind the front game in the case and while most rows had the same game, I was able to find a couple of Preys for me and another CAG. Only other clearance games I found were Madden 07 and Tiger Woods 07. Those are probably gone now since it's been several months.

Try TRU for Table Tennis (just dropped to $5) and Prey is 19.98, but will probably drop in a month or two. If it's like the 19.98 games that dropped this round it'll go to 9.90.

I checked the Buckhead BB for cheap game guides and spotted at least one of every title listed in the updated clearance list, except golden compass and MOA rang up as $9. So get there soon guide grabbers. Perimeter had only Shadowrun for 1 cent and Ackworth only had the NADA 3.
Cobb parkway will be scouted tomorrow.

did you have any prices for them?

They're all list price before the 50% markdown.

They're all list price before the 50% markdown. When I saw this a week or so ago some of those list prices are HIGH. I think The Darkness starting price tag was $50. If it was MSRP of 30, I'd get it for the reduced price of 15. DOAX2 is still listed as $40. I though BB was better about meeting MSRP with games, but when I bought the last Pimp My Ride at the Duluth BB it was 50! It's regularly 15 at CC. Hey, that was more for the 10% extra when I price adjusted it to CC's flyer. Total cost $3.24. Back to The Darkness, I thought about getting a price check, but the sign states that the qualifying 50% off games must have a sale sticker and a certain price sticker and the 50% comes off of the price on that sticker. Maybe if it rang up 30 they wouldn't pay attention to that fact.

The Snellville bestbuy is selling several games 50% off. It looks like the rack has been there for a while, but there were a few decent games left.

:360: and :ps3: The darkness
:360: enchanted arms (1 copy left)
:360: bullet witch (1 copy left)
:psp: final fantasy (1 copy left)
:psp: Gurumin (1 copy left)
:psp: parappa the rapper
:psp: dead head fred
:ds: front mission
:ds: Castlevania DOS (1 copy left)

There were several others, but these were the only ones I can remember worth mentioning.

Thanks for the tip. I had to go in there anyway, but I wouldn't have checked the clearance rack if I hadn't read your post.

The only thing I picked up was Flatout: UC for the 360 for $19.99. I also saw 1 Yakuza for $15, 1 XBX Reservoir Dogs for $10, 1 360 NHL 2K8 for either $20 or $30. Now I've forgotten the rest...but there was actually some good stuff in there for decent prices.

There was 1 copy of Flatout: UC for 360 at $20, like I got.

Second the 360 Orange Box (Target) and 360 Lost Planet (CC) idea.

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/disturbed/icons/cagposticons/icontarget.gif Okay, while running errands this week I scouted out over 7 Metro ATL targets for your best location on Orange Box http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/disturbed/icons/cagposticons/iconxbox360.gif. Most stores have 4 or less copies (unless they restock for the sale, which is doubtful).

HOWEVER, the Ackworth Target (on 3378 Cobb Pkwy) had 10-12 copies today (they went so deep in the case it was hard to tell).

;)

Anyone with a Lost Planet update would be apreciated.

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/disturbed/icons/cagposticons/iconxbox360.gif On a side note the Cobb Parkway (Cumberland Mall area) Circuit City had a (SH!T) ton of 360 titles pulled and repriced at the $16.xx and put in a bin (seriously it was about 65-75 360 games). I picked up several titles yesterday. Most of these are on the recent price drop and CC clearance list, but I visit this store weekly and this is either new stock (?) or stuff from the back that never got shelved.

Any titles at the Cobb Parkway CC you remember or that you bought?

I was at the Cobb Pkwy CC late last night and h3llbring3r's right, they still have a ton of 360 titles with the price drops written in Sharpie, at least 50 games or more still. I didn't grab any but I do recall a single Phantasy Star for $8.96 among the rest. I mostly went there to check on Lost Planet and I found 3-4 copies on the shelf handmarked at $29.99 I think. Also checked the TRU nextdoor for 360 Table Tennis with no such luck though, plenty of copies at CC for $19.99:cry:

Man...I think we were all at the Cumberland CC last night! I bought one of the LE Lost Planets (which left two as of 6:30 pm last night) and one of the regular Lost Planet's (which left one). If they'll adjust the LE next week, I'll keep that and return the regular. Otherwise, vice versa. I also bought an Orange Box, with hopes that they will price match/adjust it next week to the Target price.

I also poked through the bargain bin. They had a ton of copies of Battle for Middle Earth II for $16.97. Can't remember what else was in there.

Incidentally, I also checked out the Cumberland Sears and they had 2-3 copies of Lost Planet that I could see, and 2-3 copies of the Orange Box. So that's another option for price matching.

Tonight, I grabbed the 360 Lost Planet at the Cumberland C.C. at 7:45 pm. I tried to get the Collectors Edition for the sale price but was utterly shut down. In fact, when I brought it up to the register the cashier immediately informed me that it was not the version on sale. She was totally up to speed and said that the employees were briefed on the sale price. I went with the reg. edition for the sale price leaving one reg. edition and one c.e. left.

I then traveled further on Cobb Parkway to the nearby Target to grab the 360 Orange Box. I bought one and was even spotted fifty cents as I didn't grab enough change from the car. Way to go Target Guy Cliff! There were three copies left at 8 pm, (they're hidden behind the 360 demo so might last a bit).

Well, the GS near my work has no DVDs. They shipped them up to Canton. If anyone's willing to hike up there, they might find some deals during this clearance sale. I won't be making the trek.

Ah, thanks for the head's up. To save myself price-matching hassle at Target (and because I needed to pick up a circular anyway), I went to the Cobb Pkwy Target see if they had any Orange Boxes left. They did, so I got one. There were at least two left as of 1:30. Went straight to Cumberland CC and returned the OB and Lost Planet CE I got last week and got a price adjustment on the regular Lost Planet I had. Didn't check to see if there were any on the rack.

Also, the Best Buy in Snellville has a table of DVDs at 50% off (most or all were 7.50 after discount) inlcuding Leon the Professional, the original 3:10 to Yuma, Transformers, Hellboy SE, Donnie Brasco SE, Volver, several others.

Still has the 50% game rack. Darkness rang up 60 before discount so I said no and I noticed they had 3 Pimp My Rides marked 50 each! They also had Dirt for PS3 and NHL2k8 for 360 and PS3 $60 before discout.

I didn't realize a GS had opened in Canton. What exactly are the details of the DVD sale?

Buy 2, get 4 free. Though it seems that the number of stores that still have DVDs has been greatly reduced.

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=171960

The store I checked was on Mansell, in Roswell.

Also, those $7.50 DVDs are in the flier this week for all BB stores. Pretty nice deal on the 2-disc Memento, if you don't have that. Also, the newest version of Meatballs.

Thanks. Time to hit a few GS's tomorrow.
