Also, those $7.50 DVDs are in the flier this week for all BB stores. Pretty nice deal on the 2-disc Memento, if you don't have that. Also, the newest version of Meatballs.Oops, haven't seen a flier yet, I just look at Speedy's posts a lot now. It looked like a YMMV type of set up with a crappy sign and set up which is why I thought it was a store specific deal. They also had both of those titles you listed.

In case anybody missed the thread on the main page, PGR4 is $19.99 at Radio Shack this week. Looks like there are some in the metro ATL area that have some.

I picked up 1 copy today at the Stonecrest Mall store. I think they had another copy left.

The Radio Shack site has a store locator with stock, like Best Buy, so you should be able to find one close to you with it in-stock.

we spent 75 to get in and then another 40 for food and drink And we were still hungry. Then we had to shell out another 10 for parking.

The douglasville BestBuy had a bunch of Brute Force and Fuzion Frenzy and maybe one or two other platinum hits games for $2.

Also, tons of ipod nano accessories for about $1 or $2. (I'm pretty sure it was nano... it's the one that's maybe 2-3 inches tall, and 1inch wide. Um... not the classic size and not the one that's about the size of a postage stamp.)

Hey, I'm looking for one of those $16 Ninja Gaiden Sigmas. I checked the Target near me off Cobb Pkwy and amazingly they had one, but as luck would have it, it was hidden/missing as the lady working there could not seem to locate it. Probably a smart CAG waiting for the next drop (looked like the other drops in the store corresponded to the 29.98 price tag) and hid it somewhere. My usual spots used to be ( I recently moved) Sidney Marcus Target and the Buckhead target, but it seems from these reports, they are dry. If anyone can help find one to throw one my way it would be greatly appreciated. I'm too much of a cheapskate to pull for a long drive for longshot (learned my lesson with the Doraville Kmart).

I hit the Perimeter CCity last night to check for Wii clearance games. Picked up the last copies of Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam and FF: Silver Surfer (which is apparently terrible-- I'll have to return or trade it), and a copy of MUA, leaving one of those on the shelf.

No Excitetruck, no Trauma Center: SO, no Super Swing Golf.

Also noticed one copy of that Earth Defense Force game for 360 that some ppl seem to be excited about. Didn't check for any of the other new clearance titles.

I hope to check Northpoint today for a possible SSGolf. Has anyone been there yet this week?

I don't recall location in that store, but I am pretty sure it was out of the case there, my notes in my phone don't list the number of copies (Usually that means 1). The clearance section for that target is a few endcaps away from normal game section. Just opposite the back wall of the store.

If it's not there, your next best bet is to drive just a few miles to the new Target at Perimeter mall (it's not far at all) they had multiple copies of Juiced 2 and are located inside the game case. I remember that clearly- as they had more clearance titles.

I believe there were 2 copies of Juiced 2 last night as of closing time... but yes, definitely more than one. Top row of the case, I think?

Saw a few copies of Crackdown and several copies of Stranglehold at the Edgewood Target last night - both were 41 dollars. Some Blue Dragons and Juiced 2's there too, but I don't remember how many of each or what price - last I checked they were 29.98.

I generally don't go to mall cd stores, but they're selection is sorely lacking and overpriced. I've been to FYE twice, once when the Bioshock deal first hit and again on the 28th to get a HDDVD addon in time for the 5 movie rebate. I was told just before closing the night before that they had a bunch and when I show up they had none. When I called Saturday to see if Bioshock was back in stock since lots of people reported it occurring in the Bioshock thread, I asked to see if HDDVD drives were back and the guy said they didn't sell out until Saturday and he sold the last one himself. Between them putting a game on sale they never had in stock the entire sale and telling me they're out of drives when they're not and I drove there to get one, it'll be hard for them to get me back in that store (except for Bioshock for 19.99 of course!).

Still have one more Ghost Squad for any local CAG before I promote it on the official TL.

Shockingly, the Target on Barrett Pkwy in Kennesaw had Jericho and NHL2K8 for the PS3 clearanced at 12.48 and 14.98, respectively. I went there after work and there were a few copies of each left. Folklore was also on clearance but they were sold out. These were all in the regular display case.

i went to the Atlantic Station target tonight on my way back from buying a 80gb ps3 (which are all of a sudden near extinction in atl) and no folklore or ninja gaiden. Next stop; edgewood Target since its near my house. Nothing on the clearance endcap (as usual) but two copies of folklore behind the glass, marked at 59.99 still. I asked the guy to scan it anyways, and lo and behold, 14.96!!!! So i bought both of them.

Now.....who here wants a copy?! I'd REALLY like to trade one for a copy of Ninja Gaiden Sigma, if anyone has extras. PM me!

Sorry neo, no NGS at either location. Saw a Blue Dragon for the 360 on an endcap at the Dallas Hwy one for 29.98. They had a few Jerichos for the PS3 there at 29.98 also. Acworth had the PGR3 and Spider-Man Friend or Foe for the 360 for 14.98, I believe.

Wasn't a total loss though. At the Dallas Hwy Target, I saw one 160 gb Western Digital My Book External Drive for 79.99 and was going to buy it as I could use more hard drive space. As I was about to, a 320 gb caught my eye and it was 99.99 so I instead went with that. Not a deal or anything, figured it was a better value.

Took it up to the main registers, wasn't really paying attention as I ran my card through the machine and punched in the pin # until I saw I only owed 10.59. Yeah, the 320 gb Hard Drive rang up at 9.99 + tax. I went to the Acworth one and scanned one at 99.99. I noticed when I got home that there was another barcode stickied over the one on the box. The one stickied says
0 30878 84918 0 - the item # on the receipt says 008001256 GE.

I'm figuring this is a big time YMMV. I think it was the last one at the Dalles Hwy location to but there were 500gb ones as well so who knows if they're marked incorrectly or clearanced?

Yeah, ExciteTruck is probably one of the most underrated games on the Wii. Gray hooked me up with it back around the holidays. The motion steering controls work surprisingly well, and I love the on-the-fly deforming landscapes (especially when you "throw" your opponent) and the feeling of air you get in the game.

For $16, it's a no-brainer.

After not finding LEGO Star Wars Complete Saga at the Cumberland or Town Center Costco, I checked Perimeter today. I was delighted to find that they had three boxes on the shelf! I took one and waited in a 10-deep line to checkout. After I paid, I went over to "the cage" to retrieve my game.

While I was waiting, I was suddenly accosted by this weird guy. He looked to be in his 70s, about 350 pounds in a blue jumpsuit. From his appearance, he was probably a bit senile. Also appeared he wasn't from around here, as he spoke pidgin English. He had BBQ sauce ALL OVER his face and down the front of his jumpsuit (I think one of today's free samples was ribs).

With no introduction, he walked right up to me and said, "What? You no work no more?!" sounding very accusatory.

I was like...Uhhhh...I thought he maybe had me confused with someone else. Then I realized he was referring to the fact that it was 2:00, so maybe he felt that was too late for lunch.

So I said, "Lunch break," and smiled.

But he wasn't appeased. He said, "Lunch?! Why you no work?!"

I said, "I DO work. But I'm taking a late lunch."

He said, "Late lunch! Ohhhh! What kind work you do?"

I said, "I'm a magazine editor."
"Oh! Mr. Big Shot," he said. "That a lot for not for nothing!"

At that point the woman gave up poking around in the back and returned to inform me that they didn't have any more copies of the game for 360, just PS3 or Wii. And to drive the point home, she ripped up the empty box up right in front of me. I said, "There are at least two more on the shelf," and she sent someone back to pull those as she refunded my cash.

For those keeping track of clearance PS3 games at Target. The only ones at the La Vista Road off 285 location were MLB 07 and NHL2k8. They also had avatar, spiderman and juiced 2 for the 360. No tags on the PS3 games in the glass case and the tags on the 360 games were 50% off, but I didn't have time to scan them.

Yea I got it. I had to go to Barrett Pkwy CC because mine (Cumberland) hadn't even unboxed them as of 2pm. They were down to 3 (2 after I left) copies of Condemned 1, when I got there but they still had to get my condemned 2 from the back. I am going back today to try and get the price match ($49) on the Fry's ad. If so, with my SSBB gift card, it would be 2 games for $40!

Sadly, I still haven't got my SSBB preorder.

Okay, so I did the price match at cumberland and they have at least 8 (eight) condemned (1)s.
I did not see Condemned 2 anywhere. It's probably still in the back.

To help out any and all CAGs the Condemned 1s are now hidden. They were not then (and are not now) with the regular 360 titles. There is an endcap immediately to the right of the 360 console display/kiosk with budget and clearance games for all systems. Top shelf, two left most rows are full of condemned 1s, behind two different clearance titles.

You will probably have to ask CSR to get Condemned 2 from the back (I had to at the Barrett pkwy location).

They did match the Fry's price. (Note: I brought the receipt in after the sale, so the free game might trip you up if you go for an all at once).

The Fry's ad is on the back of yesterday's sport section, the CSR kept mine.

So that's Condemned 1 & 2 for $49 and if you have a $10 GC from the SSBB deal with CC it's even sweeter.

I played the multiplayer yesterday at my brothers, great fun. Of all of FPS horor brawlers this is the best multiplayer title (lol, can anyone think of any others).

There's nothing like bashing some pig-masked baddies face-in with a toilet seat, and hearing people laugh over live. This is what Manhunt 2 should have been.

I know it's not $5 like in the thread, but the Duluth Fry's has Untold Legends Dark Kingdom for 9.99. They have about 50 copies in a shopping cart between the endcaps of the game section and the wall. They are still labeled 19.99, but there is a sign on the cart stating the 9.99 price and it does ring up correcty.

Last time I went in there during their closing "sale" they had actually upped all the prices on games. I had gotten a game for $5 back when they had the buy 4 for $20 if priced $9.99 or less. That game was marked 19.99 after the store was 70% empty.

Holy crap...I can't believe the tornadoes hitting downtown tonight. Has this ever happened before? I certainly can't remember it in my 30 years here. We're watching it on TV, and the damage is just crazy. So many skyscrapers with hundreds, maybe thousands of windows out. CNN Center trashed. Two or three skyways destroyed. And it certainly gave everyone at the Georgia Dome a fright. I'm so thankful it didn't hit us in Decatur.

EDIT: FUCK ME. They just showed that the air pressure in the Dome dropped so fast it burst the water pipes and they showed water flowing like a river down the stairwells. So much for the SEC tournament!

The estimated amount on the damage is going to be astronomical. It doesn't sound like any deaths have been reported but several dozen were injured. Wow I had no idea this happened. I was at home in Kennesaw when one of the thunderstorms rolled through. It literally came out of nowhere and scared the bejeezus out of me cuz I saw a blue flash followed by a massive rumble of thunder. Looked on weather.com and saw a pretty powerful but small cell going through the area and another to the west-northwest. Only statement at that time was be wary of these cells cuz they could produce pea-size hail. Where I am located was on the outskirts of the much more powerful dark red area on the first cell that rolled through (more in the yellow/orange). Been doing other things and just checked here. Crazy. Seems that no one was killed downtown so that's a good thing.

Yeah, it's been wall-to-wall tornado coverage on WSB. We actually had to get down in our basement for that one that came through Atlanta today along I-20. Thankfully we just had a little pea-sized hail and rain and nothing else to speak of. Our dog was freaking out, however. I think they can sense the pressure change.

I'm really worried about some friends of ours who own one of the renovated Cotton Mill row houses (they actually used to live in the Lofts, now they live a block away). Still haven't heard from them, and I know that area was devastated. The lofts themselves look like holy Hell.

I can sympathize with non-Wii owners. We wanted to get one but schedules / life prohibit waiting in a line early in the a.m.
Kept our eyes peeled for a while and then said to hell with it and bought a 360.

Really happy with the decision so far and outside of the RROD w/in the first month it's been great.
Still I want a Wii eventually, lifelong fan of the big N so we'll see. It's nice to have other eyeballs willing to search and I'll keep in mind for the future.

I'm having trouble getting Brawl to work with my router. I tried the (lengthy) fix detailed at GameFAQs and other places, but all it did was bork my wireless completely and had me scrambling to get things back to the way they were. This really sucks. =(

I was downtown when that Tornado touched down, but I was a few blocks away from the major damage. I don't think ive ever been more scared in my entire life. Also, my best friend lives in Cabbagetown. His house was spared but holy crap there was craptons of damage. We spent sat. morning doing some "disaster tourism" walking up and down the streets of his neighborhood and taking pictures of some of it. There were bricks from the Stacks Lofts (the ones that collapsed) strewn about in the streets, hundereds of yards away. There was insulation EVERYWHERE, and of course downed powerlines and trees thrown through houses. Ive never seen anything like it in person, and doubtful that I will ever again. News trucks and media EVERYWHERE. A friend of mine got his picture snapped by an AP photographer and ABC news ran the photo on their site.

Well I found where all the LEGO SW: Complete Saga's for the 360 were hiding. The Gwinnett Costco has like 15 copies. I was up around Indian Creek for work today and figured I'd stop in since it's right there, and sure enough, they had a ton (and I confirmed they have the actual games that go with the empty boxes). Felt good to finally track one down.

Checked the adjacent CC (Earth Defense Force...not much else) and Target Supercenter (nothing worth mentioning).

Are there any other Costco deals that anyone knows about? They had a lot of copies of Mass Effect too (few of the other Costcos did) and it made me wonder when that would be clearanced out.

Just back from the Mall of Georgia Costco...

picked up the last Super Monkey Ball BB and Sega Bass fishing. $23.90 out the door.

They had about 5 of SSX blur, couple of the Winter Games, two Sponge Bob, and quite a few Avatar for the wii.

They had all of the 360 games mentioned but SW. All kinds of DS games, my kids don't have one so I didn't bother looking. Only PS3 game w/ rebate was Full Auto 2 (bunch of boxes, who knows how many actual) for $21.99 if I remember right after instant rebate.

That does suck. I haven't seen the GameFAQs thing, but do they talk about setting it up in the DMZ? That should basically allow all packets to the Wii with no interference from the router (nobody should want/be able to hack your Wii).

There were no Jerichos at the Target under Best Buy off Sidney Marcus last night (according to Target's site it's "Buckhead South") and there were none at the Lenox one ("Buckhead")tonight at 8:15 :( I figured that it would be the easiest one to score out of it, NGS, and Folklore and yet it's the only one I struck out on as I think it's gone at all Targets I look at. Maybe it'll clearance for 360 eventually.

Also, I still have one Ghost Squad left for trade and I saw one at the Target in Snellville in the cheap game rack. It scans out of system so it depends on your negotiating skills/luck on that one.

I went to the one in Suwanee, very nice layout but the games seemed to be marked very high. Had all the systems out where you could try out the games before you bought them. Didn't check on any trade in values.

Wouldn't mind picking up that game but don't want to waste a trip out there.If you mean Target in general, it varies from not selling it to you and pulling it from the floor to letting you name a price, but usually they ask how much it was on the shelf. If you get them to scan it with a hand scanner it may come up with a price, I think people reported it would scan 12.xx which is what some As Is stickered versions were marked like the one I have for trade. I haven't bought an OOS game at that Target, but most around here have been very lenient about it. They usually ask how much it was and I tell them what the hand scanner said (or what the 75% off price would be if it was still in the system). I have returned 2 items that were no longer in the system and they put them in the salvage bin and said it was being shipped back to the manufacturer.

I remember being depressed because I was broke at their store closing. I think they moved the Subway from across the plaza to that space now. I went there a couple years ago looking for a fliptop lid for my PS2, but they referred me to another Swap USA in Sandy Springs I think. They said it was the only one that did imports. I never went since I called and it was way more expensive than getting it online. I haven't even paid attention to whether it's still open or not. I think internet accessibility to import games and hardware for lower prices has really made it a poor business venture for most B&Ms as independents have enough trouble as it is.

I was disappointed when I moved here and couldn't find any good stores for getting imports because back home in a much smaller area there was an independent store that had good used prices, bad new prices, and did lots of importing for decent prices. I got a lot of used and import PS1 and DC games there. Last time I was there looking for some imports they said they didn't do much importing now since not very many people get imports and they didn't make much money on it :(

There's a new independent game store in Lawrenceville at Sugarloaf and Five Forks called N2 Games. I just stopped by once and they had a decent amount of stuff, but I don't think there are any deals to be had there. Most games were way too expensive like the outfit for 40 used IIRC, but they have/can get rare stuff and imports I think, however, they know the value and will make you pay. I'd definitely like to know about any good import stores in the area if anybody knows of any.

It then switched back to the original owner about 4-5 months.

I've been to the one in Suwanee and the one in Buford near the Mall of Georgia. I've built up a little credit at each one ($35 at Mall of Ga and $12 at Suwanee). Their "trade 3, get a bonus $5 deal" isn't bad for junk games. Certainly a lot better than what you can get at Gamestop. Although every time I've used that deal, I've had to tell the employees about it. I haven't bought anything from either of them yet, but from what I noticed the Buford location has better prices than the Suwanee location.

By the way, when I talked to owner/manager at the Suwanee location, he told me that he and the Mall of GA location were planning on sharing store credit in the future. That was over a month ago, so it may or may not be set up yet.

Yeah, I remember that place. The prices weren't all that great. But I did buy Metroid Prime for $5, Comix Zone for $1, and a 6-button Genesis controller for $3 when they closed. Other than that, I bought maybe three or four Dreamcast games from them, including MvC2 for $30.

Those of you looking for the wireless 360 headsets clearance priced by TRU: The Buckhead (Phipps) location had a bunch when I stopped in last night. Two on the accessories rack, and five more behind the counter. May also have had more in back. They're $29.98 (half price). I've been enjoying mine and haven't had any static problems yet.

Also saw at least three copies of Elite Beat Agents in the bargain bin there, and some XBLA Unplugged ($5), which I briefly considered nabbing because it comes with a 30-day XBLA card and I don't have Geometry Wars yet. But didn't bite.

Oh, and at least 2 copies of Lego Star Wars 2 (not the Complete Saga) were there too for 9.98. Not bad at all.

Does the unplugged require the disc to play, or does it copy the games to your hard drive?I wish it would install them to the HDD, but you have to have the disc in to play. On the other hand I paid $5 to get one month tacked onto live and several games which cost 5 or more each.

I knew that would happen before I made it back there. I doubt I'd get there in time to get BA or MUA especially since there's one of each. I just bought both of those for 10 for the 360 and haven't opened them, too. Oh well. Anyone know if Fry's would price adjust the Untold Legends I got a couple days ago for 10 now that it's sold out. What is their PA policy anyway?

i'm from dallas, tx originally, and at a couple malls there's stores that are just full of board games..ones you've heard of and ones you haven't, and usually some puzzles, and maybe some cool random toys. haven't been able to find anything like that, but i haven't peeked around every corner so i could be missing it...

yes there is. I used to pass it on the way to my moms house. I can't recall exactly where it is though. Somewhere around Tech I think because I used to see Tech shuttles. I want to say on 17th or 15th street. I'm pretty sure there was a Firehouse Subs in the same plaza so I'm going to say 10th street. I usually don't go that way anymore since my Mom moved to Stone Mountain but if I get the chance I can take that route home from school.

Several malls here have (or at least used to have) stores like this. I know Town Center had one, maybe Lenox. Wish I could come up with a name for you. Next time I'm at a mall, I'll look.

At North Point Mall, there was a board game store called the Gamekeeper. It's been closed for years but there might be another location at some of the other malls. Other than the Gamekeeper, I can't think of another store.

i remember i came to visit atlanta four or so years ago there was a really nice one in the perimeter mall but apparently closed between then and my moving here two years ago. i looked up gamekeeper and there's several atlanta locations listed but i don't know how up to date it is. maybe i'll try giving some of them a call to see if they're still there.

i found this list of stores but that's a lot of calls to make. anyone familiar with anything on this list?

I was unable to get to a Costco (don't have a card) last week for the 10.99 prices, but I was willing to pay 15.99 for a couple of the titles anyway. My wife happened to go to the Windward location today with a friend and they still had almost all the ones from the list. I think she got the last copy of Monkey Ball, but there were definitely more Winter Sports (although she couldn't say how many). The rest of the games on the list also seemed to be there except for Mercury Meltdown Revolution and Cars.

There's a few more copies there, as well as NBA2k8, one copy of Viva Pinata, and Naruto: Rise of Ninja or whatever. Naruto was 40 I think, but everything else seemed to be 14.98.

Also scored R6:Vegas I for 19.99, but I didn't see any other copies. Just a heads up!

I was going to. Drove all the way out there on my lunch break and no go. All they had was the 3-month version (and I asked them to check in back), so I'm not sure if the guy that posted about it was confused or someone just picked it up before me. On a whim, stopped by the Tucker location (sort of) on my way back. Glad I did. If you go, it's sitting on the bottom shelf on the 360 aisle under all of the other accessories. Had a sticker on the front saying it also came with a free download on the billiards game whose name escapes me at the moment, but it looked like that aspect of the deal was expired.

I believe it comes with Uno (which I already have) and Robotron 2084...And I think you can download Totemball as well, which you play using the camera.

The best buy in stone mountain has nights journey of dreams on clearance 70% off ($15.00). There were about 3 left on the clearance rack, and there are other copies scattered throughout the store, but the ones that aren't on the rack don't have the blue clearance sticker.

As I was finishing work last night, a coworker called me to say he had a flat and was missing some of the tools he needed to change his tire. He was at a nearby gas station, so I drove over to help him. Turned out his spare was flat, so we pulled over to the air to fill it up. As we were squatting by his car doing that, I heard the voices of two white guys behind us, out of sight. I missed the beginning of the conversation, but apparently one of them was talking about needing to use the air, or the water, which we were in the process of using. But this is where I started to pay attention:

"Shit. We'll never get in there. This n*gger's got his ass in the way."
"Fucking Obama." (I have an Obama sticker on my car)
"Wait...That guy's white! Fucking poser!"

My friend and I just ignored the guys and just focused on what we were doing, laughing about it a bit. They did not have thick southern accents. I was not in the boonies. This was in the middle of fucking Vinings where, if nothing else, I at least expect people to have learned to keep their racism to themselves.

I should add that not five minutes earlier, a black family pulled up and politely asked if we were using the air. I wasn't at that moment, so I handed the guy the nozzle and he soon passed it back, thanked me, and asked if we needed any help.

that actually fits in with a story my fiance told me about an experience with Vinings...he and a friend had gone up to see a cemetery in the area that's supposed to be really nice, but the one they found was completely run down and untaken care of. they went back to the historical society whatever it is building to ask about it. they asked the lady there about the cemetery, which she immediately starts up about how nice it is. they responded that it wasn't, and told her what a mess it was. she got confused and then said "ooh, that's the Black Cemetery." my fiance assumed that must be a last name and asked who the Blacks were...then figured out what was going on. The historic society money goes to the nice white cemetery, they asked who takes care of the other one and she said no one.

Touche. But in my defense, my wife hails from Carroll County and all of her family still live there (except her grandparents, who live in Roanoake, Ala., which is about as deep South as you can possibly get). My grandparents were old south, and I've lived in various parts of Georgia and S.C. my whole life, so I know from "country hick."

The point I was trying to make was that if I hadn't said anything about their accents, someone would have said something along the lines of "fucking rednecks" and been done with it. I grew up in Cobb County, so sadly, I know the kind of hypocrisy that thrives in its well-groomed subdivisions. There's a reason I don't live there anymore and would not want my children raised there. Moreover, the people I grew up with were no better or worse than people in the far flung areas, and in a lot of ways, they're less honest. They were certainly much less overt about their biases, so I guess it surprised me to hear these assholes speak so openly.

Sure, ignorance like this can be found anywhere in the U.S. and I don't mean to imply that Michigan is immune. The big difference that I noticed in the south is that quite often it is pacticed plainly and in public, without fear of reproach or retribution. In regards to tolerance and acceptance, the metro area may be distinctly different (and better) then much of the south but as this incident clearly demonstrates prejudice of all types can and will be found anywhere one can find people.

Changing hearts and minds is a lot harder and takes a lot longer then changing laws and public policy.
Is it change I can believe in? It sure is. Is it something our nation can eventually achieve? Yes we can.

Also, just as an aside, do you remember when ESPN had that town hall meeting for mike vick? It seemed like they just wrangled anyone who was willing to sit down for that town meeting and as a result it reflected poorly on atlanta. A lot of people thought that all people in atlanta were as rowdy and raucous as that crowd. Go figure.
