At least I found Paper Mario:TTYD and that Pokemon game for GCN for $8.96 at the Buckhead store. They had Starfox Assault left at that price, too, along with a few other reasonably interesting titles. There was a Rock Band PS2 disc-only with a hand-written label marked at $29.99. Tempting, but I passed.

Also, one copy of ShadowOTC PS2 left at Northpoint Target for $10. I bought one. :) Also also, one copy of SOCOM 2 for $5. Enemy Territory: Quake Wars was $10 (2x, at least).

I just realized I didn't specify that GH3 looks to be game only as well. You could pick up a paper with their ad (saturday? friday?) and price match at a more local store. I've never actually been there although I've used their ad a few times.

shnikies! 45 bucks for rock band game only sounds RIPE! i have been pondering pickin that up since the GH3 controller works for it and apparently activision doesnt give a shit about DLC. It was cool to have a local band I see out and about like Mastodon have a song on there, but it sucked to have to buy a freakin linkin park song just to get it.

Brandsmart has good deals though seriously. I got my HDTV there when the PS3 came out and got a pretty sweet price that I still haven't seen beat many times.

Anyone seen a deal on Orange Box PS3? I read on 1up that they finally patched it so it runs better, seems like a good time get a good price...

Odin Sphere was a 2D RPG that looked beautiful.
Very much desired by many of us. However it's an Atlus game which means low quantity. Almost insta-rare.

Made a trip to Hiram, down to Douglasville and over to Cumberland. Saw 3-4 Odin Spheres at Hiram and Douglasville each and 1 Dawn of Mana left after I bought one at Cumberland (didn't check Cumberland for OS cuz once I found the Mana, I left. All marked incorrectly but they'll ring up at the clearance price.

The cheapest I've found SC for was $14.98 and I haven't even seen SCFA on clearance at any of my Targets yet. Yet the Target clearance thread is rampant with people who have found both for $7.48.

Lots of those DS game and gear kits at the Mansell Wal-Mart now marked down to about $15. I got the last visible Starfox today, but there's a CRAPLOAD of EBAs, if anyone doesn't own that fine game. Also, a few each of Polarium, board games, and some ATV title. GBA kits, too.

They still haven't marked down the Wii Points. BOO.

Went to the Acworth Walmart on Cobb Pkwy (the newer one further North - past the CC and Best Buy). Saw a bunch of Grim Grimoire's & Rogue Galaxy's in the $20 bin along with some other games. Saw a Blue Dragon in there but it rang up at 39.94 so I left it. They also have a bin mixed with Blu-Rays and HD-DVDs there for $20. Didn't see much but I also wasn't looking to buy anything. $5 DVDs were actually well sorted so you could see everything in it. Picked up Rocky I (Special Edition - with commentaries and extras), Rocky 2, Raging Bull, and Terminator 2 (2 Disc CE).

There's also a few Sega Saturn games and a couple of PS1 games at the Goodwill on Cobb Pkwy in Kennesaw. All I remember seeing was Bug for the Saturn and Virtual Pool for the PS1 among about 4-5 others. I bought WSB98 for my collection for 5.XX and Tekken 3 for the PS1. When it comes to the Saturn, if it isn't Nights or Panzer Dragoon Saga, I wouldn't know what games were there and if they were worth anything or not. The games I bought were complete and the discs were in near mint condition, no scratches or marks from what I could tell.

Don't know if anyone is interested in the $4.99 DVDs at CC this week but I picked up a few.

As of late Sun. afternoon, Perimeter had around a half dozen Kill Bill Vol.2's (I took the last Vol.1 & a Vol.2).
Cobb Parkway had 2 Children of Men left after I grabbed one (1 was fullscreen though).

Both had some copies of Rocky Horror Picture Show with Perimeter having a few more.
Perimeter also had Master and Commander, From Hell, and Breach (2-3 of each).

Of course all of 'em are standard editions but $4.99 is a good price regardless.

Duluth was definitely the better of the two options. They had a pretty staggering selection of new and used stuff. I was able to use the coupon on Friday and Sunday at Duluth. Got the PS2 Williams pinball for $5 + tax on Friday. Came back on Sunday with my kids and got a used 360 The Outfit for $5, my son picked up PGR3 for a penny and my daughter picked up a new 360 Acme Arsenal for $10. Yeah, Wii points were going to be my fall back yesterday, but I found those two games I really wanted for less than I was likely to find them elsewhere (after coupon). What I got was a Classic Controller and a controller sleeve for $12. A classic controller sleeve and 2000 Wii point card for $12 and Elite Beat Agents, a DS soft case, and 3 styli for $8.

I don't even care about the controller sleeves but 2000 points for $12 is pretty cool.

$499 new, right? In reality, that's only $50 more than I would spend on a used 20GB with a 1-year warranty.

Yeah, I would hope everyone knows about that by now.

The problem I have with the 80GB is the half-assed BC. Either do it right, or not at all IMO. I'd rather pay 400 and have none, or 500 and get it all, not 500 for some. Even with a DS3 and MGS4. If I had games that worked on the 80GB, it would by far be the best deal. Unfortunately, almost all of my games are said to have major issues.

I found a 60GB at the Big Chicken K-Mart today. More than I wanted to spend, but I felt I couldn't pass the opportunity by for near perfect BC. Oh well, I'll sell my Ipod and my backup cell phones to cover it.

So I guess the 60GB model has the actual hardware to support "true" BC, while the 80GB only supports it with software emulation, similar to the 360??

I have been a 360 guy for so long, I know little about the PS3. That's why I had my eye on the new 80GB PS3, but maybe I'll reconsider.

I found at least two more copies of The Simpsons Game (marked $39.99) in among the regular 360 games. They did not have blue dots on them, but maybe the manager just missed them. You might be able to get them marked down. The Devil's advocate in me says those blue dots are very easy to find at your local office supply store.....:roll:8-) But that's getting into Fat Wallet territory.

The unmarked ones that were in Snellville by my house for 41.98 (scanned) this weekend apparently dropped to 14.98 and were marked yesterday and were gone when I got there today, but I found the last one unmarked and 14.98 at the Steve Reynolds location today.

$499 new, right? In reality, that's only $50 more than I would spend on a used 20GB with a 1-year warranty.

Pretty good haul and finds today around the Targets in Kennesaw/Marietta/Acworth:

Acworth (Cobb Pkwy) - PS3 - NCAA Football 08 19.98, MLB 07 9.98, Orange Box (PS3) 29.98. Also found 3-4 of the Williams Pinball Hall of Fame for the Wii there for 19.99, they're in the aisle with the $30 and under games on the top of one of the racks. Was there Sunday and didn't see them so they must have just gotten them in. Also picked up the last Lair (PS3) for 29.98. Wanted it for 14.98 but with it being the last copy, I figured it might not last.

Kennesaw (Barrett Pkwy) - probably the weakest - saw Boogie (PS2), HSM (PS2) and Singstar Amped (game only). Bought the Singstar game for 20.98, I forget the other prices. They had Motorstorm (PS3) for 41.98, NBA 07 (PS3) for 9.98 (endcap), 1 Genji (PS3) for 14.98 (endcap) and Orange Box (PS3) for 41.98

I just signed up. I know they won a Cheapy award for the favorite online game trading service amongst the CAGs so I am hoping to have a better experience with this than the last service I used. Gottaplay.com sucked, i sent a game out and earned points and I have been waiting damn near a year to receive any of the games on my list.

I'm a member and I've had decent success. I've been able to unload some unwanted games and was able to get some crap games in return that I otherwise would not have been able to justify paying for! The wait can be pretty long for in-demand new releases.

They also had Supreme Commander for $14.98 and the Warhammer 40K Dawn of War compilation with both expansions for 20.98. All of this was on the endcaps away from the game section.

At the Atlantic Station Target they had some interesting deals in the PC Game section. They had two Guitar Hero 3 bundle packages for 40 bucks. Also, Rainbow Six Vegas (first one) for 9.98. There were a few other deals. I grabbed the last Neverwinter Nights 2 for 14.98.

I find myself driving there often, both for deals and for the more flexible price matching at that BB (Cobb parkway makes you wait while they call every store to check inventory- regardless of wether it's a national store/sale or not).

I'll try and post any deals I spot at either location. It would be great if you could do the Monday scouting at the Kennesaw Target and BB near your work; It would save me a drive.

In any event welcome, we update often. I can honestly say we are the best regional CAG group for finding those clearance deals and helping each other out.

Northlake Target has one more F1 Championship for PS3 at $14.98 (marked $41.98 in the case -- you'll have to ask for a scan). There is one Lair in the case, but it scans as marked at $41.98.
There is a pretty large stack of 360 Strangleholds off to the side in the case. They are not marked. I did not ask for a price check, but that could be a potential gold mine.

So as of 7:30 today (tues) there are about 10 PS3 Orange Box, 3 Lair, at the 29.38 price at the Atlantic Station Target. They were at the 40 price point the previous week, I would imagine that they might drop to 15 next monday, (if there are any left). All in the display case so, there is a strong possibility that they wont be hidden. I bit on the orange box last week for $29.38 at the Cobb target and I've got a question for you all; Target won't honor the difference if I bring my receipt in and they dropped to 15 right? I mean they are clearance games and its not a price drop. But I'm a CAG so, gotta know.

Yes, that's a dangerous game. I think the best you can hope for (if you want to play) is to buy it at 30 bucks, then hope there's still a copy at 15 the following week. Buy that, and then return the $30 purchase.
Worst case scenario is you get an OK deal vs. a great deal. At least you have the game, right?

Anyone see any cheap copies of Two Worlds around?

There is 1 copy of the Collector's Edition at the Best Buy in Stone Mountain at the front clearance table.

It's 70% off of either $60 or $70, can't remember which. Pretty good deal either way.

Any drops to 75% off on the PS3 games at target this week or last? Before I went out of town last weekend I picked up a Motorstorm @ 30 just to be sure I at least got that deal. This afternoon, the Snellville T still had OB @ 30, MOHA 42, and the sports games holding at the same prices. I'm looking specifically for Orange Box, Motorstorm, and Lair and maybe MOH Airborne.

I got the last Dead Rising at the TRU on pleasant hill today. I saw a few BA2, one Rumble Roses, a few Shadowrun, a yakuza, wwe 2007 and some others.

If you are in the Northern suburbs, the Target at the corner of States Bridge (Pleasant Hill) road and 141 (Medlock Bridge/Peachtree Parkway) has about 5 copies of Wii Pinball Hall of Fame. They do ring up as 19.99 but there is the 13.98 sign and had no issues like others have mentioned getting it adjusted. They were on the bottom row of the games that are on the aisle instead of being in the cabinets.

I also saw quite a few copies of Viva Pinata spread out in the section. They all had clearance stickers marked 7.48.

I have the white component cable and it works great. I also have 2 of the chargers for the Wiimotes. The charger works great too, but I know some people do not like the USB powered ones.

sears at cumberland mall had a copy of GC Twilight Princess in the clearance bin, but no price on it and i was grumpy they didin't have mario kart so i didn't ask.

News from my travels today; may not be news you can use but hey, I tried.;)

I'm not sure how many Wii's the Cumberland TRU still has but they had 3 Blue Dragons there as of 7 pm, I was told they scan at $15.98.
I grabbed a 360 R.Band drum set and game for the $40 off while there, they still had 1-2 more 360 drum kits.

If anyone is looking for the C.City 12+1 month XBL subsription cards at $39.99, the perimeter store has zero in stock.
I was able to price match at the nearby Best Buy but I got the last 12+1 version. The only ones remaining were just 12.

That's all I've got, just happy to start playing R.Band with the rest of the world!:)

Made a run in the Hwy 78 N area today. Found :360: 2K8 NHL for $14.98 and :360: Simpsons $12.48 and used the $5 coupon at the Snellville Target for a total of $23.81 :bouncy: They also had a couple copies of PGR4 and one copy of 2K8 College B'ball marked at $14.98. Still had some :ps3: Orange Box left for $29.98

I didn't see much at the Snellville BB so decided to hit the Stone Mountain BB. Found Rock Band :ps2: $15 (70% off of 49.99,) FIFA 07 $9 :360: (70% off of 29.99,) and COD2 $6 :360: (70% off of 19.99.) Came to a nice total of $31.80. Only other :360: games they had were DDR Universe(?) and DOAX2 both for $9.

They had one copy after I left. Not sure why they were there because they had 4 or 5 that were still in the ps2 area at full price without the green dot indicating it was on clearance.

I was saving up for the 360 version but my cheap butt will keep this one instead. Pretty fun game, only thing that sucks is that my son can't play along due to his POS React guitar controller not working with the game.

oh course not Tybee.. I bought it first week. With the strat guide form Toys R Us. I loved the game minus the bloody temple of the ocean king. Without that ONE temple over and over again the game would be perfect in my opinion. It's just so close to the perfect Zelda game it hurts.

it's..different. getting around in PH is way easier than in windwaker because the world is smaller. plus in the temple you're actually doing something as opposed to just sailing.
i would've liked to have seen PH be a few levels longer and have some more side quests. it was enjoyable, but felt short for a zelda game.

well there's a place called Battle and Brew off powers ferry in marietta. i've only been there once and didn't really do much, but they have a rock band setup, and a few big hd tvs with all current gen systems and a good library of games. they've got some arcades and a bunch of pc's too. it's kind of small..you might want to check it out ahead of time..but the prices were good. http://www.battleandbrew.com/

they have smash tournaments on wednesdays, i think. the only problem with that place is you pay hourly to use the consoles, so it seems that would kind of discourage matching up with some random person to play.

They have ps2, xbox, 360, gamecube, wii, psp, ds, and gba advance games. Games were on three carts next to the electronics register - signs said sale ends tomorrow (5/4.)

I didn't have time to go through the whole lot, but I picked up Raiden III for the PS2 while my son picked up Fantastic 4: Silver Surfer/360 and my daughter picked up some Havest Moon (Magical Melody?) for the GC. Saw a few Rogue Galaxy and some other rpg's for the ps2. Most of the wii games were garbage - lotz of the petz variety.

I'm all set up with Battle and Brew. I dropped by this weekend and it's definitely small but it fits the bill. For the time being, I've rented out the 2 main big screen TVs with the couches for the whole night. If we get enough people, I'll get another TV that has the Wii and PS2. The only "concern" is that the party is on Friday night and that is apparently "Free Rock Band" night, so the guys say it can become standing room only and get quite loud. I figure at least we have the couches reserved and my brother will love playing RB in front a big crowd. Not that we need that much sound to play Smash Bros, Mario Kart, or Halo.

Stopped by the Lenox Target while running errands in the area on my break. Of course, I mosied, er moseyed, um walked by electronics and they had the new clearance games out on the endcap in the corner. Nothing too exciting. The PS3 games were still tagged high, however, when I checked the PS3 games on the scanner the older set were 75% off. At least NBA 08 was and there were a couple left as well as some NBA 07s which were in the earlier round of drops so I presume it's 75%. I didn't see any other PS3 games from that set of drops like Lair, which sadly the several copies that were there last week were gone. They had THPG and the Simpsons which were marked 30% off, but were 50% off. No Orange Box.

Someone cleaned out my local Norcross Target. I knew I should've picked up a copy of NBA 08 before the rush but oh well. A lesson learned I suppose.

I went by the lenox target and saw nothing. They did have several Virtua Tennis 3s if anyone is interested in those.

The Sidney Marcus Target had not dropped any PS3 prices when I stopped by around 3 today. I'm not sure when they update on Mondays, but it probably had already happened since there were some jewel case PC games newly marked as clearance.

No change on games already on clearance at the N Druid Hills location either. They used to have a TON of PC games on an endcap that were 50% off. 95% are gone including the King's Quest Collection and NWN2 (was 30% off) and the add on. Oh well.

Edgewood Target update -- No more Lairs, or much of anything really neat. There is one NWN 2 on an endcap down near the autoparts for $15.
There were 3 NBA 08's, but they were marked at $25. That's about it.

I was up at Buckhead Target 10 minutes ago. I saw a copy of :ps2: Manhunt 2 for $18 and they wouldn't sell it to me. What gives? How annoying is that?

I did pick up two copies of :ps2:DMC3:SE for $10 each. I'm not sure if there were more. I also picked up another :gc:Zelda:TE. There were at least a dozen of those for 50% off ($24.98)

Why wouldn't they sell it to you? I'm sure they gave some kind of reason, lame or otherwise.

the guy just said it was maked "do not sell' in the register. he said it must be recalled or something. he did call manager to see if there was a way around it but nada.
