I need a cheap charger for my PSP for work, does the USB one work decent? Anyone know of any deals on any PSP chargers? I hate lugging my normal one to and from work.
Thanks

I'm curious as to what is required to do USB charging of the PSP. I have a Seagate USB drive that uses a cable with two plugs at the PC end. One plug is power and data while the other is just power. This allows the drive to be completely powered by the PC and not need an AC adapter.

This site shows a cable that goes to the USB and the regular power input port. It appears powering the USB port alone doesn't do the job. (Some USB devices do offer this.) So I wonder if a cable that had two PC ends like the one for my Seagate drive, could it provide faster charging?
For under ten bucks this seems like a good buy. Just killing two birds with one stone is a bonus and the slow charging time isn't too much of a penalty if your PSP is often parked by your PC anyway.

My bunny chewed my PSP's power adapter the day I bought it, so I've been using the USB charger since then, and it's been working great.
I bought the one here: http://www.axshop.com for about $3.00, I think.
Edit: Hmm... looks like their site is down.

I went by GameDude in North Hollywood today and they had both types, .5 Amp single plug at PC end and 1 amp two plugs at PC end. I picked up the single plug version. It may be slower charging but less of a problem finding an available powered port. So far works great.
