ElectroPlankton, is this really game or more of a stylus tech demo, from the product info on ebgames http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=180100 sounds more like a tech demo than a game. Is there a point to the game or just you move the sylus around to change the onscreen action and sound.

Tech demo, but it can also consider it a freestyle canvas program. If you had more direct control over what kind of "music" you can make, I would still pop it in every now and then...but I got it for 20 bucks new so I like it in my collection as a collector's item :)

Yeah, don't buy it as a game. You'll be disapointed. It's a neat little toy though...

Aside from the lack of a save feature; It's pretty entertaining, but I wouldn't use Nanocarp. Nanocarp is for teh gheys..

does anyone have a picture of the headphones that come with the Japanese version?

which version of the game is the better one to get? US or the Japanese?

If I Wasn't leaving for my wedding in a few hours, I'd dig mine out and get the headphones out. They're nothing special, just blue kinda generic earbuds. I never used them, but I can't imagine they're of tremendous quality.

The someware is exactly the same save for a little Japanese into English. I'd go with whatever one is cheaper, or the Japanese version if you want a metalic blue DS case on your shelf.

Elektroplankton was a very cool concept, but by the time they got around to releasing it in the States, I got bored with the notion. The limited sound generators and lack of a save feature cemented it for me... Still nifty, but definitely not essential.
