Does the G-O mean it's a an "Official Guide"? Sorry but I seriously doubt it's the actual game....

Playcentric has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. A while back I ordered Eternal Darkness and Morrowind for the Xbox from them and they didn't manage to ship ANYTHING until a month after it was supposed to, and even though it had both games on the packing list only one was in there and for god knows what reason I had recieved a CANADIAN version of Eternal Darkness (I live in the US). Afterwards I promptly cancelled the rest of my order to bypass dealing with them anymore. I'd really avoid it if I were you.

LOL, it's a Canadian site. They sell mostly Canadian-labelled games.

I dunno - format says "playstation 2" and not "book" - maybe I'm just getting my hopes up.

If they're Canadien, that would explain the exorbitant cost of Tekken... think exchange rates, people! 'Course that would mean that CoN is like $5...

I think the deal was setup just for VGtalk.com, cause CoN is $45 if u search the site for it. so u will need to use the link to get to it.

if you do a search for norrath on PlayCentric..
Search Results
We found: 3 Items in GAMES matching norrath.
1.Playstation 2: CHAMPIONS OF NORRATH: REALMS OF EVERQUEST $44.22
2.PC Games: (Sony) EVERQUEST LOST DUNGEONS OF NORRATH MB $23.16
3.Playstation 2: G-O CHAMPIONS OF NORRATH REALMS (P2) $13.22
So the one for $44.22 is the game and the $13.22 I would assume is the Guidebook so take a change if you want but you'll prolly end up with the guidebook.

Am I the only person who had a decent experiance with PlayCentric.
I got my niece a CD several years ago, and it shiped direct to her house and the delivery was relyable.
I guess that was some kind of fluke.

Ah.....I didn't even bother finding out why they had sent me a Canadian version. The site certainly doesn't make it very apparent.

I ordered from Playcentric once, and I received my order without any problems.
I think you should contact them, though, to find out what you ordered. They have 4 items in games listed as "G-O". Two are $13.22 each, and two are $13.75 each. Each has a non-"G-O" counterpart with a considerably higher price (Mafia $49.15, CoN $44.22, Maximo AoZ $30.73, Rise to Honor $38.26). As has been stated, "G-O" is probably the guide, or it could stand for "Game Only" (just the disc). They really need to be more clear.

They had a couple of good deals several months back, but ended up cancelling all the orders (cheap Dynasty Warriors 3 comes to mind). Now that they have all my info., I get an e-mail from them almost every week. Seems like a ploy....be wary.

wow - he seems pretty sure. love the all caps!
stolen from maddox:
"Seven sixteenths of one inch - That's the distance you'd have to move your pinky in order to not sound like an idiot. I know the burden of pressing shift to capitalize is a great one, but c'mon, you can do better than that. I used to type emails in caps like yours, but then I decided that I didn't want a job mixing concrete."

I searched for [b]Champions Of Norrath: Realms Of Everquest[b] and found 2 results were found. One is the one posted, and the other is the game for $44.22, so it looks like that's a strategy guide or something. Here is the link to the actual game:

I used to buy DVDs from Playcentric quite often, totaling around 10-15 orders in all, with several hundred dollars in transactions. I've never once had a problem with the store, although that also inferentially means that I've never had to deal with their customer service.
And yes, you do have to keep in mind that the store is Canadian so their products are obviously Canadian -- which may differ from U.S. products although they're usually the same -- and may take a while longer to pass customs at the border.
While we're on the topic of dissing Canadian stores: I'm never buying from DVDsoon.com again. It seems to me that the store would actually wait until currency rates tipped more favorably toward them before charging/shipping my order, thus negating any good timing on my part. I've had instances in which they took half a year to get me a DVD title (and the only reason I stuck with them on it is because the price on that title was more than $30 below other stores' prices.)

I e-mailed them about the "G-O" before the game title, as in Rise to Honor, Mafia, and CON. Here's their reply:
Dear Valued Customer,
I apologize for the delay in responding, I have just heard back from our
supplier regarding your inquiry. Please note that the "G-O" in the titles of
these selections mean that it is a strategy guide only. It is not a game.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. Have a great
day!
Sincerely,
Andrea Andrews
