So, I was at the campus bookstore today and saw a Gameboy player for $10.00. I grabbed it, thought about it, then talked myself out of it. Out of curiosity I checked ebgames.com and couldn't find a listing for it. I then checked Gamestop. No dice. On ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/GameCube-GameBoy-Player-Adapter_W0QQitemZ8292359424QQihZ020QQcategoryZ2038 9QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) there was one going for $41! That's before shipping. Are these getting hard to find? I think I might go back there and pick it up. Anyone want it?

I could of sworn they came out at 50.00 and have had no drop in price, so the Ebay auction isn't too bad. For 10.00 though it's a steal! Games like minish cap and Mario & luigi are just better playing on the big screen IMO.

They were clearancing them out. I just thought it was weird that I couldn't find them on eb's or gs's sites. I don't really need a GBA player, so I'm not going to pick it up unless someone wants me to.

Whoa... a GBA Player for $10 and you didn't buy it... I HAVE to respsect your restraint. Something us older cheapasses seem to be coming to appreciate more and more.
Yeah, GBA Players are getting rarer and rarer as the days go by. I'm glad I bought mine a couple years ago. Was used, mint condition at a Gamestop for $27. Didn't have the box, but did come with the stock case for the bootup disc. Such a cool little addon. Specifically cuz it melds with the Cube so well.
Okay fine so I almost never use the damn thing, I still love it though =)

Is this new in the box? If so, I would love to have one.
I'm just really anal about my video games, they have to be in the plastic wrap or I won't buy them. Please let me know what you would like for it.
I do have a PSone lcd screen new in the box I could trade for it if you would like.

It was new in the box. Someone already PM'd me, but if that falls through I'll give you a PM.

I wish I could find a GBA player for $10 or $20ish They had one at my EBgames that I was gonna pick up with store credit last weekend. I didn't feel like running down to the store last Sunday to get it has I was playing on going out on Monday and sure enough a day later it was gone :( These are getting harder to find (at least around where I live) I remember months ago that they seemed to have afew at Circuit City and plenty at TRU that I was hoping would get marked down at some point but I've noticed recently that they don't have them at either store anymore.
If by some chance it falls though with the 1st guy then the 2nd guy that was interested above me let me know lol I'd be willing to work out something extra trade wise or $$

my campus bookstore sells game stuff.
anyway, 10 bucks is a great deal, you should have bought it for yourself, so many good games you could enjoy on the big screen.
as for it being at gamestop and eb, it must be in the system somewhere because we still get new ones shipped to us, and it costs 50 bones.

Was it a real Nintendo one? I know Interact or someone made some cheap knock off that doesn't work real well. If it was real, that's a heck of a deal!

100% Nintendo. That's why it was so weird to me. I'm going to back tomorrow morning and get it. Hopefully it will be there  . Someone has expressed interest in it, so I'll hook them up.
And the reason why I passed this up for myself was that I already have an SP and a lite. I don't see the efficacy of having one for the GCN too.

Nintendo no longer produces these. With GBA games slowing down, and GameCube about dead, why would they continue to produce an accessory like this?

Because who wouldn't want their GC to look taller? ;)

Bingo. With it, the GC is ALMOST bigger than the 360's powersupply! OOOOOH!
</original, funny joke>

Well, I just grabbed it from the bookstore! It rang up $29.95, but the cashier changed it to $10! I'm hooking a CAG up, so it should work out nice.
