I really like old-school capcom fighters but now after getting the Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and, Alpha Anthology on the way I'm not sure if I should keep these PS1 titles....thoughts?

Marvel Super Heroes
Street Fighter Alpha
Street Fighter Alpha 3

Street Fighter Collection (Super Street Fighter 2, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, and Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold)

Street Fighter Collection 2 (Street Fighter 2, SF2: Champion Edition, and SF2 Turbo: Hyper Fighting)

Street Fighter EX
Street Fighter EX 2

if your a collector yeah just sit on it a few years. I know SF COllection 2 is rare. Btw you wouldn't happen to have DARKSTALKERS 3 would you? I was looking for that one.

They're still nice to look at on a shelf, but overall, PS1 2d fighters are pretty much crap. I would keep them for nostalgia alone, but how many copies of essentially the same game, can you have? This is coming from a guy that has about 15-20 capcom 2d fighters.

I'd say keep them if you are a collector.

Also isn't the better port of Marvel Super Heroes on Saturn?

I'm not a collector these are just what I've ended up with over the years. A few of them I bought at launch and others I got fairly cheap or at a good price. I have had these for so long I'm just not sure if I need to keep them or not.

I'd get rid of them... some of those should net you a decent amount of cash on Ebay though. I think that MVC 2 is a complete replacement for other Marvel fighters and the Alphas on the PS1 aren't anywhere near as good as the arcade versions or the versions included on SFAA. Those SF collections are replaceable by Capcom Classics Collection which is really cheap so I'd get rid of those too... and SFEX was just bad.

I just sold off alot of my excess street fighter games... I made a decent bit of cash, I could have bought about 3 copies of SFAA with the profit I made.

And since SFAA is the definitive version anyways, and the only one I'll ever play now, there is no sense keeping the other ones around.

Eh, I don't think MVC2 is a complete replacement for Marvel VS Capcom. I still enjoy it much more than MVC2 and would love to have a copy of it for PS2 [especially if it is as well polished as Alpha Anthology]

As for Marvel Super Heroes, the gem mechanics are pretty fun but the superior versions lie on other consoles. I think I'd really enjoy a PS2 package of MVC, MSH, and X-MEN VS STREERFIGHTER

The only thing I'd keep are the EX-EX2, I don't think EX3 really did the first games any justice. I actually put some time into EX-EX2 and enjoyed it -quite- a bit, it's different than the 2d but I think on PSOne it was probably my favorite 3d fighter [though it's really 2.5d in play]

Honestly, I thought the PSone port was just a little better. The saturn version had more animation (even more with the RAM cart) but it has more severe framerate issues.
