ended up selling around 10 items in the past 2 days and in BOLD PRINT
I ONLY SHIP TO CONFIRMED ADDRESS
6 out of the 7 people who paid have used unconfirmed addresses
I guess these people will just get hit with a non paying strike and neg feedback. One person thinks im sending a 150 buck game to a friend whos address they are not even sure of. Stupid SOB need to be banned off ebay
Dude first goes send it to XXXX APT D
then writes few hours later I mean send it to APT 105
I told them Yea right im going to send the game to you when you dont even know where the #$#$# you live

LOL just had to add this . Just checked my email since a few more of my items closed . The person who took
Panzer dragoon saga off me for 150 bucks who said send it to two different addresses each time they sent money has emailed me back after i told them i need a confirmed address..
(today around 1Pm)
Buyer: I have resent payment with a confirmed address
nothing in my paypal account so i emailed him back that either paypal is slow or they sent it to the wrong person ( if they dont know where they live im sure they dont know how to use paypal)
Responce
I sent the money to paypal (never said to my account) Since i sent Payal (didnt even spell paypal right) You have to send my game out to me.
i just emailed them back telling them there is still nothing in my account and i will not be sending out the game. Man i sick of people trying to scam on ebay

Look, we understand that you're pissed. You're pissed about a reasonably annoying thing. I can respect that. But people can't take you seriously when your posts are nearly always incoherant rants.

I swear you have the worst luck of any human being... it seems whenever people start to rag on you there is always something else going on that you use to try and possibly get sympathy.
I remember when everyone ragged on you in the CC $9.99 sale thread, you went on to say how CC managers are jackass and your grandmother died.
Either you're a liar or the most unluckiest person on the planet, and either one is a shitty thing to be.... someone should chronicle all the shit that happens to Slidecage week after week on these forums. I mean look at that, his cat died, and somehow the vets did it... what kind of insane bad luck is that?
If it makes you feel better, some dude just pulled the same shit... his confirmed address is Utah, he wants me to ship it to California. Sorry, it may be a $16 game, but I'm not forfeitting my seller protection, and like you it says it in all my auctions I only ship to a confirmed address. This guy is a seller with 126 positive feedback as well, so you think he'd know all about only shipping to a confirmed address.

He could, and you'll lose, because if you send to an unconfirmed address seller protection no longer covers you. I've done it before, and it's very nervewracking... I mean, DC could even show its delivered, and the buyer could say "Well, that's not my address, I never received the game" and too bad.
If he left positive feedback and everything is done, I guess you could make a case for it that way that he received the game.

My experience with Ebay has been surprising in that the overwelming majority of people I have dealt with - even the idoits who don't follow directions and *could* be trying to scam me - have been extremely honest.
Not saying you shouldn't watch yourself, but I agree that if you've gotten feedback you should be fine.
With regards to this whole unconfirmed address thing, I would say make them pay you through Western Union. I hate Western Union, but the one thing I like about them is that they don't ever do chargebacks. At least that's what the CS rep told me when I called to ask them the situation a year or so back...

You know, slidecage....You can set up paypal so you don't accept payments from unconfirmed addresses at all. They won't be able to send you money in the first place.
Then maybe that's what happened and I didn't understand you.
I am sorry to say that Slidecage will no longer be posting here. I have received some bad news.
A few days ago he went to the grocery store to buy ingredients for his lunch. Unfortunately, it had caught fire that morning and burned to the ground, taking the deli next door with it. While walking home with a growling stomach, he started to cross some train tracks when a guy on a bicycle crashed into him. As they were getting up, a car came along and ran into them. The car spun sideways and a tanker truck carrying liquid hydrogen crashed into it. Just at that moment, a train plowed into all of them, causing a massive hydrogen explosion. To make matters worse, a meteor flew down from space and landed on their exact spot.
RIP
PS: I think he had his cat with him at the time.

Yes it is the vets fault cause they screwed up the testing on the tumor. I have went to 2 other vets and both have said that A healthy cat would of never died within 2 weeks of being tested. Both vets said they would of putting the animal on pills to fight the infection of the tumor. Our vets did nothing and our vets lied right to our face saying
you will have 1-2 months to decide to take the tumor off of the cat or leave it be. If you leave the thing on the cat has at least 1 year to live . Cat died 2 weeks after that. So damn right its the vets fault.
i never asked for sympathy, you deal with it and you move on with your life.

I understand you why don't want to deal with unconfirmed addresses (especially with a pricey item), but unconfirmed addresses don't necessarily mean scammer. Most people on eBay just honestly want to buy and get their stuff. For a period when I was in the process of moving, I had items I bought online sent to my bf, which was an unconfirmed address for my account. I had no problems with the sellers I dealt with during that period.

Why i called them a scammer (address are made up)
First payment was
i live at 222 happy road
Second payment
I live at 542 long road
Thrid payment
I live at 8992 short road
and you can see , everytime they send the payment they are saying they live at a different address now. Its not please send the item to XXX . They are saying they are living at 3 different addresses

I have been selling on ebay for 3 years and the following will fix most the problems. 1. set up for immediate payment required 2. set up for confirmed add. only 3. If they request the item to be sent to another add. send a receipt to their confirmed add with delivery confirmation.

I've never had a problem selling anything on eBay except for media. It seems the jackasses and idiots come out of the woodwork to buy CDs, video games and DVDs. Everything else has been as smooth as can be... this is why I rarely sell any type of media on eBay - too many douchebags.
I did get an email from someone asking why their item hadn't shipped yet. It had beed 10 days and I emailed them saying it would go out last Saturday with an upgrade to Priority shipping because I couldn't make it to the post office in a timely manner. It's like they completely ignored the email - plus, 10 days isn't that bad...
