Is this possible to fix? I opened it but didn't know how to get it so it was firm again. It's all loose when it goes up and down...it is from when the gamecube was released and I'm hoping their is a way to fix it? So has anyone experienced this and found a way?

This innunendo is killing me inside!
Not much to do about it, find a cheap deal on a new controller.

Yeah just buy a new one. I have no clue how you broke it, the control sticks are much better than the N64 one.

it was the very first controller I've got. It's the only one I ever used for single player and multiplayer and I've played many games, Smash bros melee being my game most played. I've taken care of all of them, but at times it will hit the side hard so...

My oringinal Indigo is like that. It happened a long time ago too. Probably because of Rogue Squadron 2, then Animal Crossing. No D-pad support for AC sucked. About the time my analog was getting worn out, I started using the D-pad on games that let you use it. TS2 at the time. Worked out great, after you get used to it. So now I use the D-pad most of the time. Although lately, I haven't played a game that lets you use it, except SSX On Tour, which blows.
Oh, my analog is crapped up Up/Down wise. Right has about had it (but still useable a little), Left is the direction that works the best.
I use my analog on R:Racing Evolution and the SSX series since the left and right were ok with those games. I found one game that works decent with a crapped out analog. Eternal Darkeness. As long as you run some of the time. I just started playing it again recently. Had rented it years back and got almost to the end, I think.

Yea i have the some problem. too much smash bros caused this for me. I opened up the gc controller to see that the plastic is physically worn out on the control stick so it probably needs to be replaced.
The C-stick has the same sensor thing as the analog so you should be able to swap them.... the big problem is you need to desolder 4 large joints and 6 very small joints for stick. i tried it and had no luck on getting the sensor off. if anyone has some success post some tips.
