Hey, Im really looking for a CAG'r to help me out and bid on a few of my auctions. Up for sale I have 24 seasons 1-4 as well as Friends seasons 1-4.
I am selling these because I am in dire need of money after acquiring a 589.76 dollar bill at the mechanic to fix my bumper which was in a hit and run inside a parking lot while I was at work... So I pretty much got fucked by the Popo since they tell me they cant go after a hit/run anyways since it was not on a residential street and parking lots are private property. Basically I am super pissed right now since all that money is coming out of my pocket, so please help me out and raise some funds for me through my auctions. I will try to donate a DS game or something else of that value in a contest if my auctions generate an outrageous amount.
Thank you come again :)
Heres the link... sorry I forgot it before, I had a lot on my mind this weekend.

I know what you mean... the police basically told me I was fucked. And since I have no proof to the insurance company "I didnt inflict the damage myself" (Like I would actualy do that and jeapordize my only means of transportation to work???) they wont give me jack.
Also, sorry I forgot to post the link... the original post has been edited. Thanks for the prompt responses people :)

I am sympathetic to your cause.
Eight or nine years ago, I bumped *BUMPED* a car which was parked in the middle of a road on the way to work one morning. I pulled over, and rang the doorbell and stood there for 12 minutes waiting for anyone to answer the door. I left a note saying I would contact them again on friday (payday).
The next afternoon, a cop shows up at my door saying I'm being charged with hit and run. The owner of the car was home, never answered the door, and took my license plate number as I drove off. After explaining to the cop and filling out a statement, the charge was dropped, though I was hit with a $2000 bill.
A rather large bill considering no visible damage occured. But wasn't I gratified to see that my hard earned money went towards a new paintjob and rims. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v76/guinaevere/smilies/cigar.gif
I was young then, and I did hit the car, so I didn't do anything about how the money was completely misappropriated and how I really was taken advantage of. If that happened to me today though, say hello to my legal representation.
Anyway, I'm looking at some of the 24 sets. Any combined shipping for CAGs? I know you're in a fix, but I'm asking all the same. Because I'm probably cheaper than you are. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v76/guinaevere/smilies/blush.gif

The only way an auction would be an "amazing deal" is if you had an amazingly low BIN price.

i wouldnt paid the bill. I would of taken them to court and said they was parked in the middle of the road. It was a very bad thing leaving a note. You should of called the cops.
Never leave a note without calling the cops. You might of ding his car and did 500 bucks of damage. Someone else could fly into the car and destorying it and taking off. There sits your note saying you hit the car so they could come back and say you did all the damage

People who hit-and-run need to be castrated (if male) and lobotomized. I've been h&r by a fucker with no plates and I've had my window smashed and radio stolen. I am not a violent person, but both these instances put the fucking hate bubbles into my blood. I'll keep an eye on your auctions.
P.S. I like the term Popo.

This same thing happened to my brother when he was in high school. He slid on some ice, hit a car. Went door to door figuring out whose car it was. The guy was home and decided not to answer the door. My brother left. The next day, he was arrested and charged with hit and run and leaving the scene of an accident. He got totally fucked over in court because some douchbag decided not to answer his door. He was "afraid" of my scrawny little brother. Total douchebag. My brother was under 18, so it went away later, but he got slapped with fines, court costs and legal fees (his own lawyer).

I'm an honest person, and I like to think other people are too, so I never would have thought of that, so thank you Slider for that advice! Live and learn.

I've been h&r by a fucker with no plates and I've had my window smashed and radio stolen.A year or so back some vandals came through my in-the-sticks white-bread neighborhood and smashed my rear window, as well as a few others. I would have been satisfied with compensation, but the dorks were never caught.
P.S. I like the term Popo.I think cops are awesome and I always thank them for the job they do. But I gotta tell you, I like the term "popo" too. I just woudn't say it to their face.

so here's the other question: is it bad enough that you can't drive it? Do you have to pay the 500 dollars? can you wait and earn it another way? or maybe not even fix it?
That would be the cheapass way :)

How is it if you're in a hit and run on private property cops can't do shit? Does this mean I can murder somebody while doing lines of cocaine in the mall parking lot and they won't care?

its not a residential street so they cannot enforce traffic laws since parking lots arent a part of traffic. murder and lines of coke.... seriously now...

Perhaps the mall had "fake" surveilance. Where the cameras are there but have nothing inside to just employ the scare tactic, and hope to never have to release this info to the general public.

You wouldn't believe how many corrupt assholes purposely try to get other cars to bump theirs. I know of 4 people directly IN REAL LIFE who have had bogus "ow you gently tapped my bumper my neck is forever in pain $10,000-$50,000 plz kthxbai" lawsuits. None of the people lost their lawsuits but they still had to pay lawyer fees and had to deal with the stress of it all.

$8.50 shipping?!?! God damn!
I always get this..but I guess people are spoiled by some online stores..
I charge $4.50 to ship a video game first class or priority, the shipping costs me anywhere from $1.70 to $3.85, the packaging costs me at least 25 cents, and wrapping it up, printing the address, and going to the post office all cost me about a dollar
So 8.50 sounds perfectly reasonable, especially when the guy has such a big bill to pay, although I will admit
The friends box sets are not much bigger than a basic PS2 game, I'd charge $6 for shipping..that'd be enough profit without raping the buyer.

The title is extremely misleading. There's no reason for you to sell the box sets below market value, considering your situation, but since the auctions will likely sell at or above market value the title is deceptive. I expected low Buy It Now prices, or maybe a huge bundle, considering the alleged urgency of your situation and the fact that you're calling an auction an amazing deal.
There's nothing wrong with getting the most out of your auction, but when you do you shouldn't try to get fellow CAGs to view it under deceptive inclinations.
