Moose, the dog from the show Frasier died last Thursday, June 22. He also appeared in My Dog Skip.
I have no article to go along with this other than the fact that I just heard it on the news and it's mentioned on Wikipedia.

Aaron Spelling and Patsy Ramsey also died within the past few days. Famous people (although the latter and the dog are questionable) usually die in threes.
