Who likes videogame artbooks?

This thread can be about free artbooks (as preorder bonuses), artbooks you bought, your favorite artbooks, your favorite VG art (that is in a book), pictures of your artbooks... I'll begin :D

As for as artbooks I've bought, I've gotten:

SNK Characters: All About Illustrations
SNK Characters 2: All About Illustrations
Some Mega Man / Mega Man X artbook that has art for MM 1 - 6 and a few X's

Some free artbooks I've got:

Suikoden V
Titan Quest
Tales of Legendia
Soul Calibur 2

I'm interested in picking up one of the Capcom artbooks, as well as the Breath of Fire Complete Works (has art from BoF 1 - 5).

The only ones I have seen is : Art of Doom, Art of Halo, Art of Darkwatch.

I like those games but I never bought those books.

I love videogame artbooks. Except the only two I have are for Halo and Warcraft 3.

I'd say Yoji Shinkawa's MGS Artbook is all you need, but that would deny Yoshitaka Amano the grand title of artistry, which he takes handedly.

I really haven't seen many artbooks beyond those that are great.

I'm in the middle of packing so I'll have to comment more later on.

I got the Tales of Symphonia one and, even though I didn't like the games, the book is nice.

And now that I think about it, I never got my free Suikoden coin and other shit!

I wish more preorders would come with them.

The only one I got is Tales of Legendia. I would have love to get my hands on the Tales of Symphonia, but I got my Gamecube late, so no luck there.

I got the Kingdom Hearts 2 CE guide with the sticker book as well.

I would prefer and hope for the other way around... art as video games... or even artbooks as games.

So far I've never seen one I like alot... some are hit or miss, but none of them seem to have hit the mark yet.

The only ones I have are two of the Girls of Gaming mags from Play magazine. That probably comes as no surprise to anyone since I pimp the gaming girl thread in my sig. :lol:

I would love to cellect more artbooks eventually though. I really wanted the PoP:Warrior Within book. I have seen some for sale/trade on CAG but I just don't have the extra cash right now.

Got the persona 3 and persona 4 art books, Peace Walker art book, Bioshock 2 LE one, Ar tonelico, Luminous Arc, Ar Tonelico 2, and Demon Souls. Got the valkyria chronicles book preordered too.

Best artbook for a bad game: Unlimited Saga Visual Arts Collection. Beautiful work.

I have quite a few game artbooks, mostly ones I've purchased. There's also some manga artbooks I have that include some of the illustrator's game work (like the Akira Toriyama collection The World Special, which includes Dragon Quest art).

I think there's a Japanese one for Phoenix Wright too.
Yep - The Art of Gyakuten Saiban. It's quite good, with a major focus on character art. There's an English translated version, too.

Capcom puts out some beautiful artbooks.

I have a couple of art books. The Art of Disgaea (Japanese), Mega Man: Complete Works, Okami, Mega Man X: Complete Works, Mega Man Zero: Complete Works, Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love, Trinity Universe, Atelier Rorona and BlazBlue. I might have more, but I forget.

They're pretty cool (usually better than the guides) and I'm really looking forward to the Valkyria Chronicles Art Book! :boucy:

I got the Okami and Uncharted 2 artbooks... I love both and wish more companies would release full fledged artbooks. I know the Valkyria Chronicles artbook is coming early next year and I got that preordered already. I got a ton of the promo artbooks. None of those are all that great except for a few.

I really wish I could get Xenogears Perfect Works and the artbooks for Grandia, Shadow Hearts 1 & 2, and FFVI. There's so much crap on eBay but most of it's guides that sellers try to peddle off as artbooks.
