I really don't know much about wireless routers, but I have a wired linksys right now. I wanna get a wireless one for DS and I already use PS2. My friend is moving soon and is giving me his Xbox so I will probably get Xbox live, and of course Wii and maybe PS3 or 360. So as you can see I'll have a lot of things I want for online. But could someone please help me pick out a good, reliable, yet cheapass wireless router? Thanks

PC, PS2, Xbox, Wii, PS3 or X360. I don't know how the PS3's networking will work, but it looks like you'll want to get something with at least 5 or 6 ethernet ports unless you don't mind switching cables around.

Whaa?
Just get a cheap B/G, $50 or so, just whatever bottom of the line your local office supply or electronics store has. X360 can benefit from wireless A (same speed, but higher frequency, more reliable) but that adds quite a bit to price. You don't need anything fancy for just sharing an internet connection, unless everything's across the house. Device-to-device, such as your computer to 360, could definitely benefit from extra speed though.

u can get a wireless G router for around $20-30 after rebates. just keep an eye in the BB or CC adds. they're always on sale. I'd stick to dlink or maybe lynksys

I've found Linksys to be the best balance of price, dependability and usability. I'd go with a Linksys wireless G, and just shop around for a good price.

Never used a Linksys, but horrible Experience with D-Link. I've been using Netgear, and no problems. Lets see...check Nintendo's compatability list for routers compatabile with the DS, and get a switch if you need more ports (most routers have 4 ports)

If I get the router can I have the stuff anywhere in the house? I thought I heard you have to get something else to make it go through walls or something.

No, you can usually have it anywhere unless the router sucks. The thing is that walls and floors usually decrease the signal strength of most routers.
I have my Buffalo WHR G54S in our basement. Throughout the basement, I get excellent signal strength (5 bars, the maximum possible). On the main floor, the signal drops a bit to 4 to 5 bars but on the second floor, I usually get 2-3 bars and many times lose the signal altogether.
