But he has no controllers, and I need to get Xbox Live and some games. Could anyone help a fellow CAG spend the least money possible? I'll probably just stick with 1 controller and Xbox Live and Halo2, what are the best deals and all the info I need? I never have really paid attention to Xbox deals and such before.
Thanks in advance

Xbox Live year sets are going on sale in the next couple weeks at Toys R Us; watch that thread. Someone will surely post when that happens.

Sweet, now all I need is a 1st party controller and probably a long ass ethernet cable.

I didn't find any at my Circuit Cities, but I know the Halo Triple Pack was on sale for 8.96.

If you're interested, I've got an old style Logitech Wireless controller I don't really use anymore that I'd be willing to sell. PM me if interested

If you're looking for ethernet cable, try monoprice.com (http://$$$$$$$$$$$$/pbjmf). I've heard good things about them and they have a pretty good selection. A 50ft cable is $5, is that long enough?

God damn, I love CAG, thank you so much! These cables look good, $15 for a 100ft one shipped.
When does the sale end? I was looking at spending a lot more than that for all this. Does it come in like a pack or do you grab like a Halo2 copy, a headset, and a kit and it rings up for $17.50? Does anyone have pics of what to look for?

It's a clearance sale, which means it ends when they run out of stock. It comes with a headset, communicator puck (the device that lets you connect a headset to the Xbox controller), a 12 month Xbox Live subscription card, and a bundled in game (usually MechWarrior or Crimson Skies), NOT a game of your own choice.
Your best bet for Halo 2 was the triple pack at Circuit City for $9. You might have luck trading for it or buying it on the trading forum.

They packaged Project Gotham 2 with the last batch of Xbox Live kits. Mechassault was packaged in the original kit and Crimson Skies came along six to nine months later.

Check the trading threads, plenty of people dropping things off there on the cheap.

I have Xbox Live for my 360. I just bought an Xbox, so can I use the Xbox Live with the old Xbox?

Yes, I suggest getting one, they're the best, by far, well, for the original xbox atleast.
I had to pay 45 for mine!
