I do believe my favorite is Reptile (even though they really fucked him up in the past few games), followed klosely by Sub-Zero and Jax.
I know that having a poll is kind of retarded since there are tons of kharacters, but I figured what the hell, no one is going to vote for Moloch anyway.

Where is the Smoke love? That guy is just utter awesome! I also really like Sub-Zero, Cyrax and Liu Kang. Man, now that I think about it I really like all the characters. But nonetheless, Smoke comes out on top.

Lately my favorite character to USE has been Kano (UMK3). I never used him much back when the game first came out, but as my skill has increased (thanks to a renewal in human competition on Kaillera... and soon XBLA) he's become my #1 guy. I love bustin' out cannonballs like there's no tomorrow... plus his jumpkick, air throw, and 3 different launcher combos are top-notch!

I like all of the ninja palette swaps. Ermac and Smoke are especially cool, Reptile too before they devolved him.
I thought Kabal was pretty interesting too.

my favorite up to umk3 (or mk2) was reptile.... starting with mk4 they fucked him up.. i liked his old ninja style

I voted for Scorpion although I will admit that Reptile is underused in the series. Raiden and Sub-Zero will come in as my 2nd and 3rd choice.

I would have voted Reptile if he didn't get all changed up 50 times over after UMK3, but Scorpion takes his place since he hasn't changed as much... poor reptile... here's hoping he goes back to being ninja-like.

The only Mortal Kombat game I really ever liked was number 2.
Ultimate 3 was ok, but regular 3 sucked.
I was a master with Jax, I'd only have to switch characters when someone picked Mileena. She was so f******* cheap. It was a lot harder to master Jax then her sorry azz.

When I was little I liked Johnny cage cause he did the split legged nut punch. Now I like Sub-Zero because he can freeze. Nothing like freezing a person mid-move then uppercutting them.

Jeeezus, this poll needs way more Raiden. He, along with Shang Tsung, has had the best character development of the MK characters. Can't wait to see "vengeful" Raiden ready to kick everyone's ass in the next MK, if what happened to him in MK Deception becomes canon. Have a feeling we may have to wait for the first next gen MK for that though, looks like Armageddon is sort of the MK Trilogy of current gen MK games...meaning the storyline here may not "count" and it's just an excuse to cram everyone into one game.
Also, allow me to say it's damn annoying that they insisted on having Quan Chi squeak by Shang Tsung when they fought at the beginning of MK Deception. Shang Tsung should have wasted him.
Along those same lines - they need to bring back Shao Khan as the boss. I kept hoping for him to show up in Deception after you beat the Dragon King, but no luck. Unless you have the Gamecube version, anyway.

QFT twice because it's so correct. I remember buying that game and taknig it to a friends house, and when we watched the opening movie I kept thinking "they wouldn't kill him here." Say what you will about MK's fight mechanics compared to SFII (2D) or VF (3D), but MK's story/mythology kicks the crap out of both of those games' storylines. You think you'd ever see them have Bison and Vega kill off Ryu at the beginning of Street Fighter 4, only to have Sagat look to avenge his rival...or even have a story, for that matter? MK's story is appealing because, unlike most major comic books or game franchises, they aren't afraid to mess with the cast of characters.

WHOA, hold on there, I better set the record straight... I've got nothing to do with that video, other than being friends with a couple of the people who made it. "Shock" and "Dreemer NJ" are the ones responsible, and they are two of the most knowledgable people on the planet when it comes to UMK3. The fact that such a combo can be pulled off is crazy - too see it pulled off in actual real-world gameplay is even more impressive!
