Anyone know where I can get it for under $65? New or used. And no bootlegs or "imports", please.

Or, any of the individual DVDs for under $20?

If you're not in a hurry, consider waiting for the inevitable box set price drop / thinpak. In the meantime, there's so much other anime to watch...

You should have taken advantage of the DDD 20% off sale and gotten them for a few bucks under 20$ each. Maybe you can even find some left over in a few SunCoast stores that are still closing down and having all those wacky sales.

IMO, even though I enjoyed this series, it was a bit too random to merit wasting even $65 on it. You have a PM.

I've seen every episode over 5 times...through other sources...and I can tell you it is faar from random once you understand everything. I just want to gt the DVDs so it can officially be in my collection since it certainly deserves it, and so I can share it with others.

I saw it once fully, I understood most of it. But its progression is a bit random. They jump around too much. Maybe 'random' isnt the right word, but its a bit wacky how it just goes from one thing to the next. It was interesting nonetheless, just expected alot more from it. It got me real curious in the beginning and just didn't hold up. And then the end, just as curious as the beginning *sigh*

It's definitely a series you have to watch more than once to fully appreciate. I understood a lot of it first time around, but then started over at the first episode and there were A LOT of "ooooooh, I get it now!!!" moments.

Ya, alot of series are like that. You new things, once you see all of it. Its fun but annoying at the same time. You just need to see the entire thing to get the little details.

Gamestop/EB/Moviestop sell it for $44.99 used. If you have the More/Edge card you can take another 10% off that.

dvdplanet.com had it for $55 a few weeks ago during their Geneon sale, which is where I got mine. I haven't seen any other site cheaper than $65 since then.

If you like the series, check out the movie Perfect Blue.

serious? Hey, if can buy that for me, I'd more than happy to pay you $50 shipped for it, or maybe work out a trade.

I've been waiting for that to happen with the last episodes of Big O II. I'm still a little murky.

And Perfect Blue is a good suggestion for PA fans. I'm glad [AS] is finally re-airing it.

Sorry, just got back from Moviestop and it appears someone bought it. They were fresh out of all PA stuff.

For anyone who likes Paranoia Agent, i recommend Satoshi Kon(PA creator)'s other work: Perfect Blue, Tokyo Godfathers, Memories, and Millenium Actress. All of them are classics.

Tokyo Godfathers is a phenomenal film. I absolutely loved Paranoia Agent. It's kind of strange watching the episodes so late at night and being sleepy, especially with a series like this, but then I rewatched the entire series through the AS reruns and it just clicked. It's one of those shows where you'll get certain episodes and others be confused and then a light bulb will simply go off and you get it. Cheapest I've seen it was during either DDD's Geneon sale for $50 or during the 20% off sale which it came out to be the same price. I would have gotten it myself, but I didn't have the funds.

Damn. Thanks for trying though. One of the reasons I love this place is because the people here are pretty genuinely nice and do stuff like that. Very few jackasses unlike so many other forums...

And out of those, I've only seen Tokyo Godfathers (which I thought was excellent), but I've been wanting to see Perfect Blue for a while now.

No problem, i had to go to the Gamestop next door to it to trade some stuff in, for some reason they wouldnt let me use Gamestop credit at Moviestop (or EB for that matter).

Perfect Blue is definately my favorite out of the OVA's Satoshi Kon did, they even made a live action version of it starring the guy who played Ichi in "Ichi The Killer".

I love this series, people are also right about Perfect Blue.
