Im looking to buy a digital camera. Im tired of having to get my pictures developed, and i will have roughly $100-150 in a few weeks to buy this. Really, i have no clue what i should get or look for. I just want a good price and a good product.

Stick with name brands Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Fuji all seem to make relatively good cameras. Then its just megapixels and storage and zooms. In zooms don't let a digital zoom impress you cause digital zooms suck. Opitcal zooms are where it is at. Figure out what media (compact flash, sd, xd, memory stick, ect) you want and then go out and find the best name brand with the highest optical zoom you can find and you'll do pretty good. I like olympus in a semi budget camera but they use a lot of XD memory which isn't really used by much anything else.

would be my two quick suggestions in your price range.

I would also suggest watching dell deals. They had the below deal a few weeks ago and they run similar deals seemingly every other week.

imo, you cant go wrong with a 5mp+ camera (thats the required amount to print "photo-quality" pics at 8x10)

close to you're budget:

I like the Canon's I have gotten. But I recommend you check these sites out for more info on cameras:

http://www.dpreview.com/
http://www.dcresource.com/
http://www.steves-digicams.com/

They were the ones I used for info when choosing my cameras.

For a few dollars more, The Canon A530 is a pretty good camera. It is standard size, takes AAA batteries (we use cheap recharagables from Walmart) and SD memory. If you want to buy online, I recommend www.buydig.com. I have bought a few cameras from them for my family and never had a problem, and they are almost always the low cost leader, or with a couple dollars. Here a link the A530 for more info ($170).

nikon's known for good cameras...Absolutely agreed with the Nikon.

The Coolpix 5600 for $170 is a steal. I've had a Nikon Coolpix 3100 for years and it continues to take stellar pictures.

If you want to stay in this price buy the Nikon L4 it's the best camera for that price.

I actually prefer the last to given the price. Im not a photographer or anything, i just would like to be able to take pictures and share them quicker and easier with my family.
