Gaming Hangover

By louiesnk Today 01:37 PM
Last night I decided to do my gaming marathon. Next week would be bad for me, and since I have to be at work early on Monday, I made it a mini-marathon.

6:00
Since this was last minute, I starting getting everything set up. I cleaned up my area a little and closed the curitains and turned on the lights so I wouldn't have any distractions later on.

6:15
I'm starting with Galaxian for the GBA on my Gamecube. I'm a little hungry, but I'll get snacks as I go....

Madden 09 Ce Impressions

By Chitown021 Today 12:16 PM
I was in the mood to play some football this weekend so I finally opened my clearance copy of Madden 09 CE that I got from Target a few weeks ago. I haven't purchased or played a Madden game from several years now and hadn't planned on doing so this year but the CAG in me could not pass up the price.

After playing a few games I have to say I am really glad I didn't pay anymore than I did. The gameplay to me just seems to be a little off. It may just be the fact that I haven't gotten...

Did Something Different, Went To Chicago Bulls Exhibition Game

By The Mana Knight Today 11:04 AM
I've been meaning to blog about this and I'm finally getting around to it. On Friday night, I decided to skip hosting CAG Warhawk night to go out to the Chicago Bulls vs. Indiana Pacers Exhibition game. Many of CAGs know I'm a big Bulls fan, and I only went to one Bulls game throughout my entire life (I went to a Bulls vs. Pacers game in Indianapolis back in 2001). Over a month ago, I saw the Bulls and Pacers were playing an Exhibition game together, but the biggest surprise was they'd be playing...

I'm sure this has been seen by a few CAGs and maybe posted on the messageboard but I thought I would make a blog post of it as well.

Sucka Free - What My Art and Hamster Share

By RelentlessRolento Today 12:57 AM
Here's a recent piece I did for a study on sideshows combined with audio/visual stimulation.

I promise it won't bore you:

all pics were taken by me (and yes, that thing is mine). Some of you may recognize the music. I will also say that I love editing to a beat.

I'll be shooting music videos pretty soon for a well known local band.

Little Big Planet - to buy or not to buy?

By Tengaport Today 12:04 AM

Thanks to a buddy of mine I was able to score some hands on time with the Little Big Planet beta. Man oh man, what a ride. The game is so full of charm and character that it's appeal is difficult to resist. I spent just as much time 'exploring' the game as I did actually playing it.

During some co-op play, once we realized we could apply stickers to each other we ceased to make progress on the level

I'm not sure what to say about this...

By Filler2001 Yesterday 11:30 PM
Well, I recently turned 17, and I have been thinking about my life in general, as well as life in general due to the fact that in less than a year I'll be moving out and my life will be rapidly changing....and all that comes up are questions, but three things in particular have been bugging me.

The first is that I have no idea where I want to go in life. I've decided that I want to be a writer, but I don't know where I want to do it. I know that I have a knack for writing about...

Wii tools

By thorbahn3 Yesterday 11:26 PM
After playing some Super Paper Mario, I checked out the Nintendo channel. Boy am I glad I did!
The one titled "Wii Music instruments one" features these people who looked like they walked off the set of an abercrombie and fitch commercial. These people show off how you pretend how to play the snare drum and other instruments with the biggest "I hate my job" look I've ever seen. Cuts to their Mii versions smiling happily sells it perfectly. Do yourself a favor and check...

What pisses me off..

By misterine Yesterday 11:08 PM
What pisses me off as a gamer.. is when the company decides to use clam shell packaging. It's impossible to like rip off in the street you have to get your ass down at home and open it with a scissors, sometimes it doesn't even work at all. It's horseshit. Why can't we live in a box society instead of having plastic cut you, when opening it.

Cleaning

By wcraigw Yesterday 09:32 PM
Maybe I'm a pack rat, I dunno. But I found a bunch of old systems and boxes in that mess. Only one I can think of not being there is the Dreamcast box heh. Why did I keep not only the first ps2 (it's broken, won't read dvds) but also keep it in the box?

Thought some might find the picture amusing.

My date with the Big Ugly

By ObiBen Yesterday 07:24 PM
When my in-laws from Florida came to visit us earlier this year we took them to a local burger place called Bub's. Their signature burger is called the Big Ugly. This is a one pound burger AFTER it is cooked. Pre-cooked it is 22 ounces of beef or elk. My father-in-law and I decided that the next time they came to visit we would tackle that burger, and that day was today.

Recuperating + Sacrifice + Mega Man 9

By vlv723 Yesterday 02:30 PM
Hey guys,

So I didn't the job. Big deal. What's funny is that out of the interviews I been to, this manager actually called me back and told me why they didn't take the risk of hiring me. At least now I know what to work on so the next time I will apply again at the same company or another, I will now know what to do in order to get a job offer.

Anyway, I wish I would get my airfare reimbursed but unfortunately, they didn't. Well I did some research and I will use my...

Starcraft II - Why Activision-Blizzard's Decision Makes Sense

By Rozz Yesterday 01:24 PM
Updated by Rozz Yesterday 01:48 PM
Yesterday Activision-Blizzard announced that Starcraft II will be released in three separate, possibly full priced segments. The last game contained all of the separate story lines in one box, but this time Activision-Blizzard will split them up because they feel that each version is a full game in its own.

Of course, they're just different paths of the same title. This has drove gaming forums across the 'net into a frenzy,...

A TES: Oblivion Limerick

By pete5883 Yesterday 09:54 AM
Perhaps as a sign that I've been spending too much time playing, I wrote an Oblivion limerick while waking up this morning. Dedicated to the voice actors (or lack thereof) of Oblivion:

These Cyrodiil people, you've seen them?
Dark elves, some vampires, and green men
They all look unique
And yes, they can speak
But only four voices between them!

Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars (PSN) Impressions

By FriskyTanuki Yesterday 01:09 AM
This incredibly long-titled game is the newest game on the PlayStation Network and I wanted to post some impressions of what the game has to offer. Though the game features cars, it's not a racing game, but a soccer game feature RC cars that can go supersonic since they're rocket-powered, they're acrobatic, and they can battle each other. Basically, the cars can jump, doublejump, dodge, flip, and twist their way through the air as you try to knock a ball into the opponent's goal.

It's...
