This is my story of how yet again Game Stop fails on trade-in game prices. So, I recently got wind and interest in a fighting game called BlazBlue which was not in my gaming budget so I dug out some old games to trade in towards the purchase. I cruised over to the "GS Trade-in Value" thread in the CAG forums to get prices for my 4 games and calculate what they would net me with the extra 20% deal they have running right now.

So I thought I was going to have a great 4th of July weekend when I received some early birthday money in form of a check.

So I deposit it on Wednesday and usually, $100 is available immediately and it's a 1 day business hold until they'll release the hold on the rest of the funds.

I checked my bank account this morning and wouldn't you know, the money didn't get released. On top of that, my paypal "pending" payment for my airfare going back home to California has cleared.

Oh it gets better, I did a "name your own price" last night on Priceline so I can get a rental car and it already got my cash and I have a $75 check that may clear tomorrow or Monday.

So if I added everything up, I would be about negative something something if the funds are not available on Monday. And damnit, I wanted to talk to them today about it but they're closed in observance of Independence day.

Before I just had to buy all fighters on ps3 because I loved the d-pad,but now I have a second choice. I really like the Street Fighter fight pad. I still rather use the ps3 controller over it. Although for the 360 the fight pad is the best option for me anyway. I can't stand that regular 360 controller for fighters. Everything else is fine with it except for fighters. Far as the character on the fight pad I didn't care. I bought it cheap in true cheapass fashion. I don't care if it was Chun-li giving Blanka a blowjob as long as the d-pad is solid.

A few day ago I finished Dead rising after going through the 3 endings and getting all the “do this over and over,” achievements, at first like all 360 and other Xbox games I started playing it and started to hate you know the kind, Why are you moving so slow, why the hell can’t I fight anything and not get killed by random low level nothing. Pissed me off but then I rolled over to the internet running through forum review etc. to find something redeeming about the game and me not throwing it on the shelf and never playing it again , and I came across this trick I heard about this a long time ago but I didn’t remember it the maintenance tunnel zombie vehicular zombie manslaughter trick , pretty much it’s simple logic any zombie survivalist will tell you take one heavy vehicle add tunnels thick with zombies drive crush zombies under tires , Hello XP (or PP as it called in the game) !! Yeah grinding as any RPG I love grinding doing something mundane and lather rinse and repeating getting...

Now, as you may know, I am not pleased that there is no EU/UK release of BlazBlue. So I decided to import it (purchasing it from the net tonight or tomorrow). The American version is only the collectors edition, which is much more expensive (Were talking £40-£50). The only standalone versions are the Japanese and Asian editions. The Japanese version is not only much more expensive and, it's in Japanese. So I looked at the Asian version! To Play-Asia, everyone's favourite import site, they are able to ship to any location! Oh wait:

Fighting games are dead. I learned this today when playing BlazBlue. Fighting games have become a joke. They're nothing more than soulless shells created by companies that have lost touch with the fighting spirit long ago. There are the obvious ones like Capcom Fighting Jam and Neo Geo Battle Coliseum, but some of the games that are taken seriously today are gimmicky fanboy fests that don't even try anymore. Tag team trends, super combo trends, juggle trends, and trends that I don't even want to name here.

Gone are the days of the spirit of true competition. Skillful fighting and sound tactics have been replaced by combo this, juggle that, parryfests of epic proportions. It's no longer about being the better gamer. It's about being the better fanboy.

Not unlike how the brawl at Tupelo Sports Arena between Jerry Lawler and Bill Dundee spurred the creation of hardcore wrestling that eventually tarnished the public perception of wrestling in Japan and bred hardcore...

With my Xbox Gold Account having expired, I have been playing a lot of open world games recently. I enjoy the genre, or at least the genres that usually come with the play type. I thought it would be interesting if I made a comparison of all the open world games I have been playing/ are going to play.
