WET Demo Impressions....and Batman: Arkham Asylum

I learned that the WET demo was up on XBL yesterday and I went to try it out. Before I did that, I pre-ordered it in full @ GS.
My thoughts? It's alright. The demo is comprised of 3 parts, regular run and gun, Car chase action & rage mode. I think this is what composes the entire game, in my opinion. Not sure if there are any upgrades in the actual game like better gun, different movements or whatever but I shall see soon. Batman: Arkham Asylum is pretty friggin sweet! Worth every penny! Combat is fluid, a LOT of unlockables and the voice acting made me feel like I was watching Batman: The Animated Series, Thanks Kevin Conroy & Mark Hamill! Muramasa comes out a week from today... |

I have the PS3 version of Batman Arkham Asylum. I haven't played the Joker challenge maps yet but you get more extras with the PS3 version.
You get the joker for the challenge maps, blu ray trailers and a batman living space in home. the PS3 demo for wet should be in 2moro - maybe... And I learned that you can upgrade your skills and weapons on WET. |

I played the WET demo last night. I was not impressed. I can appreciate the look(sort of a Deathproof/Grindhouse thing), but the gameplay and graphic quality suck. It's like they tried way too hard to make it look cool and forgot completely to make it fun.
This game belongs on the PS2, not the PS3. It wasn't fun, just frustrating. Seems like it leans too much on this sliding and shooting or jumping and shooting mechanic. I couldn't even seem to hit targets when I wasn't sliding or jumping. I expected much, much more from Bethesda. Dissapointing. |
