Lunch with Wombat Part 3

Here another lunch option that I find dangerous, yet delicious, well at least today it is...

The Group Order

Its great because I dont have to decide where to get lunch from and it also re-affirms that my co-workers don't hate me. If they did, why would they ask me to lunch?

It is bad because if they want to go someplace that has something greasey and awesome, it is hard not to get it.

Today it was thai food, I love thai food.

I had chicken pad thai and shrimp dumplings for 6 bucks, viva la lunch special. Not a great for you lunch, but awful either, I think.

You just had my favorite Thai meal and that makes me want some. I think I'll start lobbying CheapyDad for Thai food for dinner. Yum...
I'm a big fan of eating with coworkers. Not only is it convenient and fun, but it also gives one a chance to bond with and befriend people who might not be in your immediate desk area.

Only problem for me is, I'm poor and bring my lunch every day. I feel bad, because one guy in particular always asks me if i want to go to lunch (I don't work at a gay-oriented company, don't get crazy). He used to ask me every day. Now it's a couple times a week.

One of these days though - he'll come by and look for lunchmates, and I'll be able to leap up and say "YES. I would like to travel with the group to Wendy's to buy awful, awful food!". Unless he stops asking. Which is highly likely.

Now I won't feel as bad for having a P'Zone for lunch.

Ahh, Pad Thai good choice. I usually go for the 3-star Basil Pad Thai. The 3 stars give you a good kick in the nuts. 3-star = extra spicy
Massaman or Panang curry for me, Veggies with Tofu, Yum!

Oh man, that is one of my favs as well, except I typically go with shrimp. That and dumplings for $6 is a steal.

I like the Green Curry as well, can't remember the name of it right now.

they invited you to lunch so they can watch a fat guy eat like a pig and make fun of you behind your back.

the great thing about a group order/bill is that I usually skimp on the bill and my friends gotta pick up the slack.

I'm not sure I trust $6 Chicken Pad Thai.

It's like getting sushi from the Gas-and-Go.

I like Group Lunches, for some reason, I tend to be quiet, almost like its a rest from a one-on-one lunch, which aren't always that great. On a one-on-one lunch, if one of the two is having a bad day, then it's a downer lunch, and who needs that.

red curry is a staple of thai cuisine and most places have a very good one, so try it out sometime (i like it with beef)

also, tom yum soup is very good when it's cool out, I like it with chicken (tom yum gai) but seafood is also common (tom yum goong)
