Played Rambo Arcade, CAG Meet-up Aftermath, & BADLY Need a Sofa

Well, this blog will be about two things, which actually happened in the same day. I previously blogged about going to a CAG/Goozex/etc. meet-up at Dave & Busters. While I was there at Dave & Busters, two CAGs mentioned how they saw Rambo Arcade there and thought they should play. We all walked to the game together and I ended up playing it. Had to swipe my Dave & Busters card (who knows how much I actually paid to play it, lol) to add a continue.
In case you all never heard of Rambo Arcade, here is a video. It’s a lightgun game, by Sega. I believe it was released sometime in 2008 or early 2009. The game has cutscenes which come from Rambo I believe. Once the cutscene is over, you are taken right into action. There really wasn’t much to the game, just pull the trigger and shoot with a machine gun. Killing enemies quickly led to bonus if I remember correctly. By pulling the front trigger, you released the rage gauge that caused massive damage on everything. To reload, all I had to do was pull the gun up. The in-game graphics do come from Sega’s Lindbergh arcade board. They did look a little like VF5, so I’d say they were impressive. While I might never have played or seen the game before, I actually did quite well my first time and others wondered if I played it before, where I advanced to the second chapter or episode and didn’t die for a while. I didn’t continue playing due to lack of time, but overall the game was really fun. Whenever I go to the mall, I’m tempted to go back and play that game, lol. Not much I can really say about the game, but what I can say is that I had fun, and that’s the most important thing anyway. Next time I go, I’m likely to play House of the Dead 4 and others. As for the CAG/Goozex meet-up itself, it actually went pretty good. We met up in a bar area at Dave & Busters (yeah, you all won’t believe I actually stepped foot inside a bar). I got there right on-time, but could not find anyone. Eventually I saw the person coordinating the event. I was told most shop up later on, and that ended up being the case. I don’t remember exactly how many showed up, but the turnout was pretty good. The mall was crazy packed (Yeah, didn’t seem like we were in a recession), which made parking a pain in the ass. That’s why many of us left games/random stuff to trade in our vehicles because the walk would have been too far. Mostly, we just talked and met up with one another. Most every CAG there knew my name (keep in mind, most who showed up don’t post much at CAG). Even some Goozex members who don’t post on CAG knew my name (so I guess I’m really popular, lol). Some people wore gaming related t-shirts (I didn’t, but I wish I did). Most people there had a beer or some alcoholic beverage at Dave & Busters. I didn’t because I don’t know what my limit is (I had to drive home), and I’m still not sure if I’m ready to try an alcoholic beverage. After more people came in, there was a trading session. I did get an extra Xbox 360 case from a CAG, and I thank that person very much for it (I needed one since one of my game cases wasn’t green; I’m very OCD about game cases matching). I didn’t really have much chance to play various games at D&B’s outside of Rambo. I ended up having to leave a little early (around 2 ½ - 3 hours since it started) because I had a ton of things to do this weekend which I normally can’t finish during the week due to work (such as errands, cleaning up the apartment, lots of laundry, etc.). I am still glad I showed up at the get together, although I’m not the person to go out all that much (I’m perfectly happy just staying home and playing games most of the time, but going out at times is good). Well, yesterday I decided to finally watch The Dark Knight. The quality was excellent, but I had a hard time watching it because I had to lay down/sit on my hard floor. I tried putting down a blanket, but still didn’t feel right. It’s also why I can’t play my gaming consoles very long right now (and why a play a lot of PSP, since I can lay down in my bed and play). So before I do anymore movie watching, I either have to buy a sofa, or some somewhat comfortable chair. I have the money for a sofa, just what hold me back are expensive delivery charges, and my vehicle is too small to haul one. When my Dad comes and visits me one day, he can maybe help me move one if I find one. Anyway, that’s all I gotta say. Not really an interesting blog, but I felt I should discuss how I played Rambo Arcade, CAG meet-up, and hurting my back due to a lack of sofa/seat for my living room. |

@ kube00, he still would, but finding the chance to do it would be hard (preferably a day he comes in on a Sat., since its on his way).
I just went to two Wal-Mart's I've never been to before looking for a particular sphere chair, but both didn't have it. One was in a somewhat ghetto area. Both Wal-Mart's had old stuff you can't find anywhere, game wise, lol. |
