Brutal Legend my thoughts |

I got Brutal legend 2 weeks ago and i completed the campaign in about 10 hours. Tim Schafer has a fairly good reputation among gamers for making his games different than the rest of the industry. His games have also been with many acclaim from Grim Fandango to Psychonauts the problem with double fine is that there games have a tendency to not sell well now their new game came out, Brutal Legend.
![]() Brutal legend uses a very different mix of gameplay. You go through the open world playing like its a hack and slash game. When you are fighting the opposition in big scale battles it switches into an RTS. Wile in the RTS part of the game you can fly into the air and command you units just like any other RTS but when they need a little help you can swoop down and kill everything. I love the environment its a very unique game. Everything is heavy metal related your guitar that shoots lightning and the story is over the top you will want to laugh. The intro when you start the game best summarizes the experience Im just glad that in the end double fine will finally get some income that can support the company for a long period of time because we need the types of different over the top games repete out |

Agreed, even though Brutal Legend is a little rough around the edges, I'm still playing through it and eager for the next innovative game mechanic/ concept. This game does not play like any other game ever made.
