I beat Demon's Souls...

This morning, I finally beat Demon's Souls, which I got on/around Dec.23rd, and have been playing on and off trying to get past scary enemies/terrifying bosses and concocting strategies before I play them.

The last boss I fought was 1-4's boss, the False King (that's not a spoiler). I had to adjust my entire armor layout to go for a faster rolling setup and after losing about 8 soul levels to him with my old setup, I beat him first try this morning and went on to finish the game after that.

What a great feeling!

Congratulations! Beating Demon's Souls definitely takes some determination. I bought the game when it was released but I only played it for about 20 hours. However, I have fell in love with Demon's Souls all over again these past couple weeks. I now have 60+ hours and I am soul level 118. I am on my second playthrough, and I plan on beating it as many times as it takes to get the platinum trophy.

cdiet - Did you double shield bash the last boss?

Razz - It takes 3.5 playthroughs for platinum. Though you'll have to make sure you get the foe ring in one of those playthroughs as well, since you'll want to have your NPCs alive ultimately.

AkariK – That doesn't sound too bad. Yeah, I plan on getting the Foe's Ring before I finish my second playthrough. It won't matter if everyone is dead if I beat the final boss right after assassinating everyone.

Yeah, I don't understand why they made the last boss such a cakewalk. Maybe they thought they tortured us enough with the rest of the game. Or maybe they're dyslexic.
