What happen to my third 360!
So my third 360 was scratching the hell out all of my discs so I decided to trade it in for a new one at Game Stop. I was expecting to get $40 for my old one, but they had a promotion going on where if you trade in any console towards another console you get $50 off your purchase. Even though my 360 was defective they gave me $153 off my purchase of a Xbox 360 Arcade. My total was $134 which included an HDMI cable; Microsoft wanted $100 to repair my old 360 :P! |

They added a $50 refurb fee + $199.99 console + $17.99 HDMI cable + $19.07 of California's ludicrous sales tax - $153.20 for the trade= $133.85 (I rounded to $134).

I'm still confused about how you got to that price. How did the trade in get to $153.20, what else did you trade in? How much would I get if I just traded in my 360 alone, but it works?

Yeah, I'd like a more detailed post about the trade.
And like Scorch and advanced said, return the HDMI if you can and buy one on monoprice. So much cheaper. |

Maybe buy from monoprice on amazon or blue jean cables cuz it took Monoprice a month to figure out that someone stole CC data from their servers

@Cave I traded in a my defective 360 w/ a controller and a 20G hard drive.
@advanced I already install most my games, but the ones I did install were also scratched to living hell; you would think that I had my copy of Prototype for a least year, but its been a week. |

yeah.. I have a bunch of friends on 360 and I like Halo, if it wasn't for those things I would just stick w/ PS3.
