Must-have apps for Android?

Today was the day. I've had the same RAZR phone since 2006, and finally upgraded. I switched over to Sprint and picked up the Evo 4G. I've done light reading and asked co-workers about the best Apps, but I want to know what CAG thinks. Obviously, free apps are loved by us cheap-asses, but it's all about quality.
Any other cool tips, tricks or easter egg type things are also appreciated. Thank you! |

shopsavvy (great for cheapassgamers, or any cheap ass in general. scan the barcode and it will tell you the cheapest price in both retail and online.) qik is cool if you like to take video. it automatically updates it to the qik website and you can stream live from your phone too. also google sky map is neat if you like looking at the stars |

Barcode Scanner - (You can scan those Barcodes that will open URLS to download other apps, so get this first).
Last.FM Google Voice Google Translate Cherry Rplayer (only one of the many radio players that had the 2 local sports radio stations I listen to). Live Scores (Sports scores) Compass Flashlight Bubble Level Google Sky Map Jewels (bejeweled) All free. I haven't paid for an app yet. I have a Droid Incredible and I found the built in apps for Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, Exchange Email, Weather, and Navigation work great and not need a replacement. I am looking into an ICE (In case of emergency) app that will allow dialing of a specific number (ie home) w/o unlocking the phone. Since I am hooked up to my exchange server my phone requires a strong password to unlock. |

Some of these are going to be repeats, but I'll just list them so you know that's just how good they are.
- Astro File Manager: For some apps/files that don't have any program association, this app is a must have. I play some games and such off it after loading them to my SD card. - Dolphin Browser: unfortunately, one of the latest updates removed the YouTube downloader, but it's still a much better browser than the default one. - Advanced Task Killer/Cleanoid: I had ATK first, then downloaded Cleanoid. Cleanoid seems to catch a lot more stuff to halt than ATK does (maybe because I'm using the free version of ATK?) , so I use it more often to save my battery from being weighed down by tons of processes. - iMusic: the free version will only let you search song names, but you can listen and even download them for free. The paid version lets you use other search criteria. I have a few other apps that I don't find as important, but I use for miscellaneous stuff. - Wapedia: Wikipedia for mobile phones. - Quick Uninstaller: Like it says, doesn't make you search through Settings to uninstall. - AL Notepad/Documents to Go: The first is a regular notepad (either I can't find it, or my Motorola Droid didn't come with a memo/notepad app) and the second is if you have MS Works/Word documents you have on your SD card. |

The above apps are all great. Some others that I use are:
Google Goggles: Take a picture of stores, books, products, barcodes, and landmarks and it will link you to info/prices for the stuff. Barcode Scanner: Well, it scans barcodes. Amazon: Great to buy stuff, compare prices, check tracking info on your orders. FX Camera: Cool alternate camera app with sweet filters. Spark: If you have an Xbox, this will show your friends and achievements. Air Control: A game... fun. WiFi Analyzer: Shows you what wireless networks are in your area, with signal strength, wireless channel, and if it's secure. Bubble: A level. Coin flip: You can flip a coin. Great for me because I never carry change. Enjoy. |
