You probably stumbled onto this blog by accident (or maybe it's featured somewhere as a newbie's first post). In any case thanks for reading! The reason I started this blog is simple. I write a lot of poetry. It is a passion of mine. A friend of mine named Max read one of my poems having to do with Super Mario Bros. and told me I needed to post it on a gaming community website. I thought about it, but didn't really take it too seriously.

I figured it's 2010, why not? I write about everything. But being who I am, I can't deny that video games played a HUGE role in growing up. Like most people on here I started with Super Mario Bros. and worked my way up. Its only fitting that some of my poems pay homage to those same games that got me where I am today.

Yes I do currently play games still. If you have an Xbox 360 my gamertag is Kburns10 (convenient isn't it?). Feel free to add me. So lets get down to it. What I hope to accomplish on this site:

I am no writer by any means (if that is not already apparent by what you have read so far). But I do take pride in my poetry. I'm no Walt Whitman either. But I feel like people can often relate to my poetry. I don't write about things too abstract. I hope that people will read (or listen if I make videos) to the poetry I post and comment. Whether you hated it or loved it, I always appreciate feedback. I also want to post things that aren't video game related. Maybe current news stories that annoy me, or some non-video game related poetry. Pretty much whatever comes to mind. I'm known for some of the crazy rants I go on sometimes, so maybe one of those will happen.
