Blogger's note: Photos and Video will be up post-E3, when I'm not confined to the weak hotel wifi.

Sure everyone is talking press conferences, 3D and motion controls, this blog won't do that, but rather I'm going to look at the things people won't cover. so with that said I'm gonna talk about a truck that was outside of the west wing of the LA Convention Center.

This truck was brandishing the logo of the EPIC/People Can Fly Shooter Bulletstorm. An over-the-top shooter from the people who gave us Painkiller. Signs were placed outside of the arena with this enticing offer "Show your badge for a free burger and water" Now if you've ever been to a convention you'll know convention food is both pricey and subpar. So if I'm going to eat subpar food, it might as well be free!

We were lucky enough to have discovered this early, as the line wasn't too long. As they were serving the attendees, we were entertained with how these orders were filled. In a hilarious video, they showcased how each of the burgers were made. In addition to the video, men in orange jumpsuits passed out T-shirts and validated that people on line were attendees. The menu had somewhat lewd, but funny descriptors. The Gang Bang Burger had "cock sauce" (My friend mentioned it tasted like thousand island dressing).

I however opted for the Afterburner Burger, which was described as a "smoked, garlicky patty with smokey chipotle ketchup and smoked gouda". My opinion of the burger? The bottle of water was refreshing...but seriously the burger was underwhelming, way too much ketchup and the cheese was ok. But I digress it was a fantastic idea, the truck's presentation was great...Bulletstorm didn't need to do something like this to get people interested. The game looks great and it was available to play at the EA booth (I plan on checking it out before the show ends).

Other notable stunts done by companies outside of the arena:
Homefront (THQ) - North Korean Federation Sponsored Free Parking
Kane & Lynch 2 (Square Enix) - Getaway Rickshaws

Awesome! Yet another reason why I wish I was there. Everything about E3 just sounds amazing... enjoy the rest of your time there!

Saw a Homefront video on XBL. Sounds freaking sweet. No gameplay but I love the story's premise.
