What I think was good at E3 2008

I wasn't there. And...I'm glad I wasn't, because it seemed dull. But there were some noteworthy games, some playable, some not, that were highlights. So I've decided to make a list (no, no, a thousand times no) of what I thought was good out of E3 2008. Let's go in order from my most interested to least interested. Oh, and they at least had some gameplay footage (NO CGI is acceptable!)
- Fat Princess When I saw this during the Sony press event, I was literally 'wtf?' So, it's a 16v16 capture the flag map with classes, but cute and bloody. The flag is the princess, which you can of course fatten up to make it harder to get back. It's a cool concept that I want to thoroughly enjoy. - Mega Man 9 This one will drop solely depending on whether or not the game is being developed on NES tools or not. If it is...awesome. If not...still cool. Especially since the "box art" is 100% awesome. The Wii version was shown, so I'm guessing that's the one Capcom's pushing. Now, if only Nintendo would push it. - Resident Evil 5 I'll explain why this one isn't higher. It's co-op. In a Resident Evil game. And, according to reports, your AI-controlled partner is a retard, and I HATE HATE HATE retarded AI partners (See: Shooters). So, you need to play it online. I'm not a fan of online play either, although co-op is definitely the most enjoyable. It looks like Resident Evil 4 in HD, which isn't a bad thing either. Hopefully they fix some things to fake it better. But it still sounds awesome. - Animal Crossing: City Folk Okay, before I say anything, keep in mind, I love me some Animal Crossing. I played the original for about 9 months, and Wild World for over 2 years. I go back to WW every now and again too. So, City Folk is what I'm looking for. And it's exactly what I thought it'd be, with the City being a major focus of online play. But the surprise out of it is the Wii Speak. Despite it not being packed in, it's still exciting to see Nintendo introduce 5-year old technology. - LittleBigPlanet Now why is LBP below Animal Crossing? One very simple reason. I forgot to put it higher. And it's early in the morning, and I'm really tired. So...put it below Fat Princess. I put that over this because Fat Princess sounds crazy. Anyway, it looks insanely fun, and it wants me to create something in that game. It may not be very good, but it just sounds really awesome. So that's it. That's my Top 5 from 1 to 3, 4, 5 and then back to 2. I hope to hear what you guys say, but this for me, is what stood out. |

They would be crazy not to develop with NES tools and sell limited collectors editions of the NES carts that actually work. People would easily pay $50-$100 or more a piece for a cart especially if they through in an art book or sound track

This list reminds me of why E3 08 was so dissapointing... lol
Little Big Planet is looking nice, and I'm still a bit iffy about the new Animal Crossing (The sphere shaped world pisses me off. This is why I hated the DS version) Edit: I think Mirror's Edge was worth a mention :P |

MK vs. DC looked surprisingly cool. Left 4 dead is a day one for me.
