Monday :(
First off I have a question for anyone who may know a little more about PCs than I(which should be everybody), I want to run HDMI to my TV in the living room from my Computer as a Dual Monitor for video viewing purposes. If I do this with HDMI will my TV pick up the audio of the video or will the audio still come through the computer speakers only? Gaming this weekend was a sad affair, I tried to help out some of my buddies out in ODST trying to unlock the Endure achievement and some butt ery happened. On friday night our friends internet connection dropped on Round 3 Set 3 Wave 5. ing christ. Picture time So fast forward to saturday night and we try again, only this time its much worse x.x We made it all the way to Round 4 Set 3 Wave 5. The last ing wave and exhausted our lives. Oh endure woes, I have already unlocked you but I am beginning to find you impossible to unlock for my friends -.-cheers! |

Usually it depends on your hardware, but in general, the TV should pick up the audio if you're using HDMI. If not, you might have to go into sound manager and configurations and fiddle around in there, or else you'd just have to find some cables to hook up the audio component to your TV.
The worst you can do is just try it out. |

It depends on your setup. I just did this at my gf's house using a 9800GTX+ with an HDMI to DVI cable. Basically I had to use an SPDIF cable that went from the video card to the SPDIF out cable connector on the motherboard and then I got sound. If you're video card has an HDMI input already, then it should work without the SPDIF cable. So, yes it can be done but it all depends on your computer.

Depends! I set up a set up like this and I had to run the audio separately because of the client's hardware

HDMI -> HDMI should send audio signals as well as video. As mentioned it might take a tweak or two in your config settings but HDMI is essentially DVI + digital audio.
