Anyone else buy Peace Walker, play it for a good 10 hours, then realize how underwhelming it is?

Here's my thoughts on most of the Metal Gear games:

Metal Gear Solid 1:

A great quirky stealth game, with a good, decent-sized story. Great game.

Metal Gear Solid 2:

Very deep game, and possibly my favorite. Every character is involved in the game. EVERY CHARACTER. They all intertwine and are relevant to the story.

Metal Gear Solid 3:

The best presentation, and aside from The Boss/Naked Snake relationship, it's probably my least favorite of the Metal Gear games. Snake acted pretty immature and it sort of ruined the illusion that Big Boss's legacy gave us in the other games. Also most of the bad guys (The Cobars) exist ONLY to be a boss, unlike the MGS1/2 boses.

Metal Gear Solid 4:

Although long cutscenes does not = amazing story, this game had amazing presentation and did justice to the series as a whole. Great gameplay too.

Portable Ops:

I thought it had a great story (for a portable at least) nice and simple (for the most part) I loved it (favorite PSP game ever, have almost 3 hundred hours in it [200 in the main Portable Ops, 100 in Portable Ops +).




Now there's Peace Walker. So far every character I've met is relevant only for the segment they're involved with. Then they become background. That is extremely annoying. The game as a whole is marvelous, beautiful cutscene art, addictive gameplay, gorgeous graphics, and spectacular boss fights (though it saddens me that everything you fight is purely mechanical).

Every character aside from Big Boss himself IS EXTREMELY DRAB and boring. And for some reason; Big Boss seems to have forgotten the ending of MGS3.

Also there are some extremely STUPID plot twists that go on in here. I KNOW this is coming from a game where a guy can survive through an arm and possession, but that's just weird.

Weird and quirky and silly. Peace Walker's are plain idiotic.

Am I the only one who feels this way??
