Kind of soon since my last blog entry, but I tore through some games recently. My other brother came back from college and stayed with me for a few days, and did some co-op trophies/achievements with me, and then I had a couple easier games in my backlog.

For what it's worth, my current stats:
GT - Akari666, gamerscore 28605
PSN - AkariKamigishi, 15 plats, lvl 13, 1073 trophies overall

So, games I finished up:

** Blazblue Continuum Shift (PS3) **
Yeah, I didn't think I'd get this one, but I managed to clear the challenges, and then cheated for the online trophies. It turns out that if you have 2 people with turbo controllers, you can leave it running in player matches (a few nights of this) and rack up points. It's dishonorable, but more a time saver than anything else - the challenges are truly the hardest trophy in this game.

No advice on this one, if you're good at the BB fighting system, you should be able to get this plat. The challenges are very hard, but I had a lot of help from the ps3trophies.org thread where we gave each other tips on how to do challenges - I currently have ~130 completed. Having Makoto's DLC helps as well, since the challenges count towards the 100 total.

** Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (360) **
My brother and I tore through spec ops. I guess all I needed was a good local co-op partner. A couple of them were tricky, but we finished all of the ones I needed (~30 stars worth) in just a few hours.

Single player on veteran mode is hard, but if you take it slow, it's not too bad. There are videos for spec ops, so watch those and learn the strats, but a good partner goes a long, long way. Snatch & Grab is blind luck though... As for the SSDD run, once you figure out that you need to be using 2 pistols, and you do better by taking your time and making sure you hit rather than speeding through and missing, it's just a matter of time until you get it. It's hard, but absolutely doable.

Not that my advice means much on this game, seeing as it's supposed to be the easiest of the CODs and everyone has the plat/1000... I've never played the other CODs though.

** Shadow Complex (XBLA) **
This one my brother did. I already had 170, and he had never played the game before and wanted to try it, so he played through and got me a bit more gs, then I leveled to 50 and somehow managed to finish the challenge rooms to finish the 200. They were surprisingly easy, considering I hadn't played the game in a year and forgot the controls... I wonder why I never finished them when I first got this game.

** Castlevania Symphony of the Night (XBLA) **
I won some MS points from a texting contest I found here on CAG, so I got this. 3-4 hrs of gameplay later, I had the 200. Nothing to it - I did a normal run (though I needed a faq to finish the 200.6%), and then my Richter run was only 30 minutes. Cake. Playing the game before didn't really help, I guess, but the Crissaegrim broke the game as usual.

** God of War Collection: God of War 1 (PS3) **
Finally opened my copy of this (I bought it like 8 months ago), got the plat in a day. It turns out that I still remember a lot of this game, despite the fact that I last played it when it first came out. I did so well that I got the 5 hr trophy on my first run without needing a walkthrough, and had so much time left over that I farmed Ares for red orbs to max my weapons.

For anyone else, if you've never played the game before, I recommend a walkthrough for chest locations, as it's very easy to miss many of the eyes and feathers unless you know what you're looking for. Challenge of the Gods is tricky, but honestly I didn't have a problem with it. A couple of them were just cheap, but that's a matter of retrying until you get past it.

** God of War Collection: God of War 2 (PS3) **

All the same comments apply from above. This game is longer (average run through is more like 10 hrs rather than 6 (I think I did it in 9), but the trophies are easier.

Since there's no speed run trophy, you can take your time, farm what you need, and explore all you want. However, be warned that the Boss Batch 3 trophy is glitched - if you don't kill the required bosses in 1 sitting, there's a whole long workaround to get it. It didn't glitch on me, which is lucky. I recommend a guide for the chests in this one too - you now need to find eyes, feathers, and 3 uber chests.

Challenge of the Gods is a little easier than in GOW1. I don't think it took me more than 5-6 tries to clear any of them.

Stuff to look forward to (sort of):
The same games as before, but with a few additions...
Dead Space (PS3) - My brother got all the trophies but 1, so I just have to beat it on Impossible and I'll have the plat. Shouldn't be too bad.
3d Dot Game Heroes (PS3) - We managed to book/perfect all the bosses, so theoretically the only thing stopping me from getting this plat is the minigames. Unfortunately the dash game is impossibly hard, so that could be the one stopping point for me. I'll have to decide whether or not I care enough to finish this one.

Metroid Other M comes tomorrow, and I decided to skip over Halo Reach until it gets cheap, so I'll be having some fun with that for a while until Castlevania in October.

Wow, that is quite a few games to finish in a few weeks! I finished two games last and was happy with that (of course, the one game was nearly finished before the week started and the other was a very short game, so even that is not impressive)

Nice job... I need to use this as motivation to plow through my backlog!

If I were to platinum all those games from scratch it would take me about a year. I'm a slow ass gamer
@TooMuchCoolness, same here. I am incredibly slow at my games. Even if I were to try and get platinums in all these games, I probably couldn't do it in a year because I'm not only a slow gamer, I'm also a terrible gamer
