My BB Time Square Halo Reach Midnight Release Experience PHEW! |

WOW. I got a couple of pictures and had a great time, Most awesome midnight release ever! I didn't thing it was possible to be better than the Halo 3 MR at BB on 5th ave but this was so much better (though I didn't win a Zune or anything this time).
Night began with standing on line in the rain (i was under scaffolding luckily) for a couple of hours, got to play firefight for a bit later on, got back on line, got some free swag (shown), get inside to find an OPEN BAR with catered food! What!? Who does this? Awesome! Ate and drank, took pics and listened to music, later on Kid Dumi, oops I mean Kid Cudi or W/E the hell his name is was supposed to perform, after and hour , Major Nelson come out and says he wont be performing! ONE HOUR! So I said F that and it was 12am , so my friend picked up his game, and while I was out of the stage area, i see Cudi doing an interview for spike tv or some shit (apparently they were do the coverage), @ 12:15am, as I'm exiting I hear, "who's ready for Kid Cudi?" I again said F that and went home. An otherwise awesome night ruined by the artist who was to perform. I heard the reason was traffic, but they could have at least updated us. Did get some nice swag though, I was one of the few people in the "I am Master Chief" Shirts. I tried to break it up so it's not one big run on but its 2:08am and I'm headed to bed to await My Legendary in the morning from Amazon. Peace |

I wasn't feeling good but if I was I knew I would have gone. Was it crowded? I think with the rain it might have hampered the event.

The rain didn't hurt the event at all. I'm sure they had to move some screens but other than that I think the show went on. Only outdoor event was the gaming truck. we all pushed through and had a good time, and I saw no police activity. There were cops everywhere and I think everyone was a bit surprised by the whole event. I know I was.

@ Gamer SDP - It was actually the Old Nokia Theater which is now the Best Buy Theater as of about a month now. The Viacom building where they held TRL is above the BBT but their entrance is around the corner. Besides free the beer was good, I just had a few dumplings but everyone was eating and I heard no complaints.
@1nintendo fan - not sure if you're in NYC but if you are a Nintendo fan as your name states, I think the hold a lot of events at the Nintendo Store near Rockefeller I believe. Though they are usual on the weekends and not at midnight to my knowledge. |
