Today I got to see a very n64 kid moment whilst trading in some games to get the new professor layton after I realized it was in fact out.As the cashier was in between ringing up professor layton and getting ready to rape me for not pre-ordering the latest mickey mouse game, a family of three walked in the child being about 10 years of age and came in to pick up a game non other than halo reach. But NAY! not any old the the legendary edition the second the female cashier pulled it up from behind the counter the kid started to jump up and down screaming "oh my god thank you so much mom and dad!". It was actually pretty cool to see a kid so happy for his birthday, and the parents being happy as well. But to bring this train of happy to a huge stop the lady standing behind them walked up after the family had left and goes"I need to call my husband can I use your phone"(in loud smoker voice.)needless to say the lady did not get the phone she was kindly told to use the pay phone across the street at walmart. So that was my day today at gamestop what is your funniest gamestop story.

I'd be thinking bad parents and spoiled kid...and chances are he won't be thanking others on Live after getting killed
Its nice to actually see a kid thanking his parent... that is something I rarely see anymore. It seems like I see people all the time buying their kids stuff (a week usually doesn't go by where I don't see some parent buying their kid a system of some sort at Target, Best Buy, etc. several games, or other costly items) and I have yet to see one actually thank their parents for anything.

I remember times like this where my parents would buy me something I really wanted and I would be totally thrilled. I never actually got to the point of jumping up and down, but I always thanked my parents and was super excited, on the inside, though it was pretty hard to keep it in sometimes. I even remember when my mom took me to Walmart to pick up my pre-order for the Pokemon Yellow Gameboy bundle. I had bought it, but my mom drove me to get it since I was too young to drive. I thanked her over and over just because she took me.... anyway, I think it is nice to see some kids are still appreciative.

I can't really think of any good stories from Gamestop. There have been a few times where I was trading a few things in and the cashier checked the value and actually suggested I keep it... which I think is kind of funny. On the other end of the spectrum, when I had a GBA game that didn't work and I returned it, I saw the cashier toss it back in the bin with the other games. I just think it is funny to go to Gamestop and here some of the things people are talking about, i.e. people making fun of the prices of the games, trade in values, complaining about Gamestop in general, etc. But I can't really think of any good stories.

Enjoy the new Professor Layton game. I can't wait to get it. I still haven't played the second one and I want to replay the first one and play through the entire series... so I got of thinking to do

Wait what? The parents bought a Mature rated game for the 10yr old? Bravo. Makes you wonder who's really going to play the game...

Funniest Gamestop Story:
I was looking at games after I got my haircut. This guy and his girlfriend bring Fallout 3 to the counter and purchase. The Gamestop employee asked the couple how old they were, and they replied 16. The Gamestop employee said they were too young to make the purchase.

The guy was humiliated in front of his girlfriend, so I came from the back of the store and said "Hey Frank, what is the deal? Are you buying the game or not? I want to get home to play it."

The boy looked at me and said, "Um... this guy (gamestop employee) won't sell it to me because I am not 18."

I took the game from the counter and said "Frank, I can't take you anywhere. I was next door getting my haircut and I told you to pick up this game for me when I was done. Here I will buy it and you will pay me back when we get home."

I gave the gamestop employee my card, and he rung up the purchase. I gave the game to the kid and said to the Gamestop employee "I am not a good big brother am I."

The three of us left while the Gamestop employee had no idea on how to respond. When we got outside the boy gave me $65 and said thanks.

Keep in mind: The kid was over 16 years old, and Fallout 3 is such a great game, it is a shame to deny the game to anybody in that age bracket.

One time I legitimately asked a Gamestop employee if they had Battletoads in stock. Dude came after me with an icepick.
