My Trip to Natchez, Mississippi~

My best friend got married this weekend. I was one of groomsmen in the wedding so I had to fly to Natchez, MS. I got there at Friday 10am. Actually, I got to Jackson, MS first, because that was the nearest airport. After arrival, I picked up my rental and then drove for about 2 hours to Natchez. This is the home of Nas’ father Olu Dara.

I got to the hotel at around 12pm; however my room wouldn't be ready until 4pm. So, I drove around town. I stopped at a home made Donut Shop... got a dozen doughnuts (and man were they good!) Drove got something to eat. while driving around I ended crossing the Mississippi River and ended up in Louisiana; living in South Florida, I'm just not used to another state being so close like that. It's going to take about 6 hours before you can even get out of the state. (To Georgia). So I drove around a little big in Louisiana and then came back.

Once I got back in Town I ended up going to the Local K-Mart in Natchez. I checked out their gaming section for some clearance items.... I found The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC)!!!!!!!!!!! I had been looking for that game for a long time but no one has it new, and GameStop has it for about 34.99 (I checked the local GameStop as well....) so the tag had 14,97... but it came up to $5.23.
The following morning I went back and found Transformers Animated: Soundwave for 10 dollars. I figured I'd add him to the collection.

Saturday, we had the wedding and the reception. Everyone had a good time. Had some wine and a shot of Hennessey! I'm drink sometimes, but when I do, I don't drink much. However, the damn Iced Tea was so ing good!!!! We stayed out till about 1 maybe 2am partying. It was definite good times. I almost hooked up with one of the bridesmaids. but since I'm married myself….. I didn't... (My wife couldn't make the trip).

One of the Bridesmaids is from Natchez, but she lives in South Florida, and happens me and she both had the same flight. Me and her hooked up in the morning and we drove back to Jackson together and traveled back to Florida together. It was nice, she was really sweet. I nicked named her "The Young Taurus."

I think we may all end up hooking up in Atlanta and have some fun up there later this year... who knows...

I definitely enjoyed my time in Mississippi; the women there were nice and THICK!!!! Just the way I like em!

Sounds like a great trip. I love small towns, always have. In most small towns you really can't beat the homemade food. After I moved it took me over a year to actually find a place that had some decent homemade food Where I lived I was able to get to Indiana in around 30 minutes or so. Kentucky, I believe, was the next closest, followed by Michigan. It was fun to be able to visit different places within very little time.

Nice find at Kmart. I haven't shopped at Kmart very much since I moved since the only Kmart nearby is in a pretty bad location and is in an area I never really go. I have gone in a few times but never really find anything and it really isn't worth going. I know the Kmart where I used to live had some deals sometimes, so I wish I was still able to shop there, but I guess I probably find more deals now anyway, so I can't complain. I would love to pick up a copy for $5, certainly can't beat that.
