What does your favorite game character represent to you?

This question popped into my head this morning while playing some Dragon Quest IX, so I thought I'd ask my fellow CAG's their thoughts. What does your favorite game character represent to you? I mean like what do they stand for specifically? All that is good and right? All that is wrong? What?

It might be a stupid question to ask, but I think it's an interesting one. We may not see a game character like you see it, but perhaps if you say why you see a character that way, maybe we can understand just a little bit.

I'll post my answer once we get a few comments because I don't really want to start off trying to influence people in any way.
