Well, my ebay auctions sold, and other than a few payments, I gots da monies!

With this money, I will be buying more games!

I'm having a bit of a dilemma, deciding whether I should buy Soul Calibur 4 or not.
I really like the Soul Calibur series, as far as 3d fighting games go. The problem is... I'm really not a big fan of the genre. If I were to be, the Soul Calibur series would be my series of choice.

It's not that I don't enjoy the games, because I do. The problem is, I usually end up only playing them for a bit, once I get them, then they gather dust (though I guess the same could be said for most games I own).

Right now, my fiance is off at school, in PA (but graduates this December). She's a big fan of the series as well, and is very excited about SC4. If she were home right now, there would be no question about buying it, because I know we'd both play it a lot. She won't be home until the end of this semester, though, which is about 1.5 months away .

To make a long story short; there are a ton of games I want this fall, which is why I put a bunch of my stuff on ebay in the first place, since most of my money should go toward saving for our wedding next year.

Should I buy Soul Calibur 4 now, play it for a good while by myself, then let it sit until she comes home? Or should I wait, save my money for other games I want later this fall, and probably not buy Soul Calibur until it's cheaper?

I doubt any one will answer, but hey... tell me what you think!

Keep in mind that I'm the kind of person who likes instant gratification. Just saying...

Edit: Oh yeah... games I want this fall...
Too Human
Fable 2
LittleBigPlanet
a bunch of PSN and Live Arcade games
Mirrors Edge
Fallout 3
Resistance 2
Spore
Motorstorm 2
Rock Band 2 (and a new set of drums)
and probably more I'm forgetting

Hmm... I think I just convinced myself to save the money!

But then again... Soul Calibur 4 does have some mighty fine boobies in it! Decisions!

Why not buy SCIV now, practice up for her return, and put some of the games you want on the wedding registry?

I guess that's not a bad idea, but like I said... instant gratification guy. Our wedding won't be until next June! (almost a year off)

Damn, that is a long ways off. I'm the same way.

If your afraid it will just sit there and gather dust then it might be a good idea to hold off for a price drop. It might happen in a couple off months or go on sale. But if you would be playing online it might be worth it in the right company.
