Street Fighter IV

So I was watching the Comic-Con Street Fighter IV panel, and was simultaneously wowed and embarrassed by the promo anime bits they had created for it. Wowed because they look fantastic and have pretty good editing, but embarrassed because they have horrible dub voice-overs and subtitles that ran underneath that didn't even fully match the dialog which was in the same language. Ugh.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to reviews of the PC version (buh! PC??) of this title since I have yet to purchase any of the other next gen systems. I keep waiting for a more reliable chipset for the 360, and while waiting I got a Wii (well, and my PC is quite good for gaming). They mention the "home versions" will feature that "secret character" from an old "April Fool's" joke (yes, Sheng Long). I have to guess that Evil Ryu may also be a secret character, since from the anime trailer they hint at Akuma (Gouki in the Japanese versions) saying his master was a fool for not taking the powerful path. |

I have no idea what Capcom has up their sleeves as far as hidden fighters for SFIV goes. Evil Ryu might be a color swap of regular Ryu. Were you at the panel live?

No, I actually watched the GameSpot video, and I'm glad because I skipped a lot of the back and forth between the Japanese game designer and his translator.
Evil Ryu in the other games is usually a color swap plus moves/animations from Akuma/Gouki. |
