STOP OVERCHARGING THE GAMING COMMUNITY.
Look, I didn't mind buying the Mass Effect DLC's, The Dead Space DLC's, Mercenaries 2, etc. But now it really looks like you (EA) are so desperate about the money.. I can't believe it. I know the phrase "then don't buy it". I know if the DLC if it's worth it, but this is beyond ripoff. But check this out. ![]() The Sims 3 console game cost 60$ itself (which I bought because I love Sims) and I'm in a scholarship contest for architecture. But here they are showing 2 DLCs that cost 20$ total. ![]() Here are the DLC's. Ok, for the furnitures, I hope it's a lot. So I might try that out. If it's only 5-10 then heck no. We'll see. I just want to intensify the rant by using cuses. But I don't normally cus so I'll probably just do it just for this video. BECAUSE I PLAY SIMS A LOT AND THIS IS JUST STUPID. Just get the PC version. Thats it for my rant. I know rants usually end up as a stupid argument battle in the end. But I just want to say what I'm thinking right now :s "Blog" Thanks for reading. Basically, EA realizes that there are going to be some people who are going to be willing to purchase the DLC no matter how insignificant the addon to The Sims 3 (PS3) costs to the consumer. Logically, the market group thought that many of the PS3 owners who wanted to purchase this guy would want to customize their characters and this is why they think they can charge $10 instead of lets say $2.
They can get away with over charging customer. If enough people stop purchasing EA's The Sims 3 product, possibly they might have a sales price for the DLC which is actually 'reasonable' but it seems EA likes to screw people and this is just one examples of this. |

Yeah, this generation seems to be more into "DLC's"
God help up with the next gen consoles where games will probably be 70$. (50$ PS1/PS2) (60$ PS3) (70$? PS4) + DLC's = OMFG |

People need to learn how to use the drooling smiley. It's used when something is desirable.

I to am not a fan of all of this overpriced DLC, but I am guilty of purchasing it on occasion. Here is why I think that companies like EA are doing this.
Look at the PSN store sales this week. Look at how many of those items are DLC. This is when I typically buy DLC because I am one of those guys who will not pay over $5 for much. Here is probably how EA sees it - If we charge $10, we will get all of the big fans to pay this exuberant amount. Then, we can put it on sale and get the remaining owners to pick it up. Everyone who was going to buy it will buy it, but we will make an extra $5 per early adopter. That's my 2 cents. |

Blame the gamers who buy ridiculously overprice DLC for this. Vote with your WALLET!

people say that but I've been voting with my wallet for a long time. I haven't bought a video game at >$40 in like 5 years. Games are WAY too expensive. They don't seem to be dropping.

As a long time Sims 3 fan, I just can't justify this. The game was built for the PC and that's where it will stay for me. Content like this is supposed to be free like it always was on the PC. 10 bucks for new hairdos. Really!

@Maguszxz that's how I exactly feel. And I did some little research and found out that the Furniture bundle was a pre-order bonus.. <_<

While I completely agree with you that DLC is getting a bit out of hand, I think I'm a bit more shocked that you paid full price for a game... you know this is Cheap ass gamer, right??
Sorry... couldn't resist. :P |

Just a heads up. EA has been doing this since the Sims 2 on PC. Same bullshit bascially and it is annoying as
(Except it's like a $20 disc on PC because they can). Now granted I understand expansions but EA has been going too far. |

@Arkanos, I was doing an Architecture contest, and I needed some sort of inspirational fun reference. And my brother was always in the computer so I couldn't play and build my house. So I bought the console version (Sims Bustin Out was the best Sims ever in my opinion) and it was a console version, so heck.
@Sir_Fragalot - the difference from the PC is that there are a lot of furniture inside that expansion. But the suspicious thing is that they kept on releasing furniture packs non-stop.. High-End loft stuffs, Ikea, Holidays, etc. |

And I was really waiting for the Sims 3 DLC to come out. Because Sims 3 seems to have less furniture and items than sims 2 or sims 1.. you can definitely expect that DLC's will come out due to little quantity of items. Sims now is officially a cash-out series. -_-
