ayo!! I needa have a moment of silence!! this is my eulogy!!

my eulogy to Baja Fresh.



there was a Baja Fresh like less than 2 miles away from my place and it was awesome! They opened like 8 months ago and I would go every month becoz whenever u shop there, they give you a URL on the receipt to take a survey and get $2 off your next order within 30 days!!

basically you can get a $7 burrito for $5!! I love it!!



not only that, but apparently the local newspaper would have coupons as well, and members of the gym next door always got 20% off!!

Baja Fresh ftw!!

so yesterday was that time of the month again, time for sum steak baja burrito for lunch!! I left my apartment, got about 3/4 of the way there when I realized I had left my receipt/coupon back home. $2 is a lot of money and I was only on the road for like 3 minutes so I thought no big deal, I will go back and pick it up.

I got back home, grabbed my old receipt, then headed back out to Baja Fresh only to find the place is now closed!!

Like closed closed!! With the sign in the window that says "FOR LEASE" or something like that.

Apparently this Baja Fresh had been open before back in the days and closed down for renovations. When the store came back 8 months ago it was supposed to be its big comeback!! But 8 months later and the legacy has died!!

the crazy thing is, on their Yelp page there are two recent reviews on January 4th and 5th 2011 saying good things about the place. Then two more recent reviews on January 8th and 9th stating the place was now closed!!

I had gone yesterday, the 9th, so I missed its last day by probably 2 3 or 4 days!!!!





Baja Fresh, rest in peace!! You will never be forgotten, as I will always keep you alive in my heart!!

Whenever I go to another Baja Fresh, I will always remember that you are the one and only true Baja Fresh and eat steak baja burrito in your honor and memory!!

I never had Baja Fresh but apparently there is one close to me here in AZ. Is it bacially Rubio's?

The first (and only time) I ever went to Baja Fresh (in Santa Barbara), I had a chicken burrito and got food poisoning from it. I've never been back since...

Ayo! Sum Baja Fresh gots dat Coke Freestyle!! That shit is mad ballin' yo. I like mixing it up n shyt cuz reg Coke is teh boring. I also liek dat Mexican coca cola and u gots to spell it out or elz peeps think ur into drugs or some shyt and that's weak as ! yay burritos! Imma eet 1 nowz!11!!

How about we mail you a burrito that isn't from Baja Fresh or any other chain place? If you live in CA or the Southwest what the hell are you doing eating at places like this, so much better food elsewhere.

Thongsy: there's a ton of other great burrito places, but Baja Fresh sells the type I like which only has meat, salsa, guac, & cheese... no beans or rice.

other major chains that sells similar items are La Salsa and Sharkeys, but I would never eat at those places or Baja Fresh if I wanted something with rice and/or beans.
