So yesterday's blog post I introduced you to my pixel blocks. They are epically cool little blocks that are like the one peg legos but they hook together. As I have been working with them for the past week, they are getting easier and easier to hook together which is nice. If they were cheaper I could totally open an etsy store and sell these things to buy more blocks. Unfortunately now, pixel blocks no longer exist, which saddens me and makes me want to hoard all the pixel blocks I can find.

I have been googling all sorts of sprites but maybe you all have some ideas of some cool sprites I can create. I really want to create Ashton from Star Ocean 2 but it looks like it may be too many blocks because of how detailed it is. Playstation sprites might just be too complex. I may order one more large kit so I can attempt it, but for now I'll stick to the simpler ones.

Yesterday morning I convinced my boyfriend to "kill Link" so I could have the browns.


Which then allowed me to finally complete Geno!

As you may notice, I like to build while watching my boyfriend play games, like the Assassin's Creed Brotherhood in the background. If we are both building then we put on some Mythbusters via netflix.

Geno in completion was short lived because I had been in the mood to create more and more. So next is another Final Fantasy sprite... there will be plenty more to come because I love RPGs so much. But this character holds a special place... Mog!

I thought Mog came out pretty cool. I like how it was shaded with the grey. He will be dying shortly though so I can have his blacks. Poor Mog, but I'm down to two blacks.

I wanted a challenge so I looked through all the SNES sprites and found a whole page with every color Yoshi imaginable. Purple being my favorite color, I looked over the purple yoshis. I didn't want baby mario on him because I could just hear that crying noise from Yoshi's Story and the trauma started to return. So I picked an awesome one with his tongue out, but not too extended cause it would make it fall apart without support. I didn't have two shades of purple so I used purple and pink to try and make shading.

It's my biggest one yet. It was pretty complex with all the breaks in the rows but I was able to complete it in probably an hour. I probably should have made a blue yoshi since I have two shades of blue.

Last idea for yesterday was a quick Dragon Quest slime, which I'll be taking a picture of shortly. It came out really cute and I didn't need to use blacks so Yoshi, Mog and the Slime are all hanging out together until I get the urge to build.
