1. Metal Gear Solid (Series)
This is a no-brainer. I rarely get really involved with a game but every single MGS games pulls me in extremely deep. Each game has been at a graphical standpoint just amazing and the overall story is great. Kojima is an absolute genius and has created IMO the best videogame series to come out to this date, and I've beat both MGS3 & 4 over 10 times each when I rarely want to beat a game twice. Classic 2. Grand Theft Auto (Series) Another no-brainer. The games are absolutely vile, and thats what is so great. Being able to drive a low-rider down the street and listening to Gin & Juice while I blast every single person I can see and try to hit every single person on the side walk is awesome. Its a violent game, but its violence is a parody of modern pop culture, and its one of those games that can help me release steam when i'm pissed off. Plus the games have released me to music I never thought I would have liked. Classics 3. Final Fantasy (Series) Never have I gotten so emotionally involved with any game series then I have with FF. Great story, great gameplay, and fantastic graphics. I've played every single one and while XIII may not be the best in the series its still amazing and captivating. 4.Call of Duty (Series) Yeah yeah I know, blah blah. Alot of people hate the COD franchise and many will consider you retarded to buy them day one but I've gotten my monies worth every time. The first and second game basically made what they currently are along with Halo. After COD4 they may not have had the best stories found but the campaigns are fun, and I play the multiplayer of each mode basically until the next game comes out. Almost a year of gameplay is plenty worth the 60-90 I pay for the game. 5.Gran Turismo (Series) Basically the greatest DRIVING games around. I've always loved LOVED cars ever since I was a little kid, and that obsession (along with my military obsession) continues to this very day. GT games have always been at the top of their game (c wat i did thar?). While GT5 may have been a little disappointing with the load times and the Standard/Premium car thing its still the best driving game around (Driving and racing games are two different things). GT5 may not be the best racing game out there but its a game for people who have a love for cars not people who want to just race Honorable Mentions Mass Effect for an epic Sci-fi story. Dead Space for basically reviving the survival horror franchise LittleBigPlanet for being the only game that has gotten me into platforming games I'd be very interested in your guyses opinions and choices |
